Nimbus of Tomorrow (#02-2)

    Halloi (Helo), and Be welcome.

Welcome to Kalaummuklutwe, also called by the nickname of Akkoya. A capital world, where the ejik races have their central order.

This is a Story adapted from a story played, and so written in here under Creative Commons.

Please, leave a comment if you want, and let me know if you used any of my ideas in your games. That is the essential idea of using Creative Commons. We can use each creative works we want, and so melt them into a new campaign, setting, or else, and our RPG story will be much more meaningful, to ourselves and to the groups we master those stories.

About the Music :: I do not intend any offence to anyone's right, and I do not own the music I suggest my readers listen during the Story; the suggestion is in honour to the musicians who created those beautiful songs, and I want to thank you very much, for posting these great songs.

This session runned on July 31, 2011, Belo Horizonte, Brazil.

    A Brief Log

Ryklant is a large city, with high tower buildings. Most of the population works on the two major business, the Media, and the Academy Base of Ryklant (ABR), both runned for the last two millennia in accordance with this being a main capital world within the Alliance.

Although Ryklant is huge, with more than 15 million people in the urban area, Tol Rim in the west is bigger, and the East Aglomerate is much more.

This is the main capital for the Academy.

The eastside is a military training base for the Academy, and it contrasts with the mountains in the west and central regions. There is a huge area, in about eight hundred kilomeasures to the northeast, which are ruins, necropolis, all related to ancient history, and mythology.

The north area's full of life, and it is alive all day and night.

So, we come to the south to see the major Media corporation areas, which gathers the seventeen major corps within the business.

There are many problems in the south area. Those includes drugs, trafic and prostitution, but the media corporations do nothing to deal with it properly.

Main central area's full of life, the whole year, and that's where solstices and equinoxes are celebrated.

So, I welcome you to enter this capital city.

Hope you enjoy your stay, and leave a message in our space.

    Nimbus of Tomorrow (#02-2)

    Music :: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JATGmvJT5qY

As soon as Borttom parked the car, he and Takket stoped to see the maps. There's an holographic map on the parking space. Also, they need to wait for Tul, to enter the area of ruins and ancient castles, monasteries, some still in use today, and the endless hotels starting here and ending northeast Tachize. That's what is shown on the holograms they're looking at.

They listen to a noise, and Borttom sees Tul, but he stoped.

Borttom then looks Takket, and his eyes are black. He knows what it is. Takket's having a vision, something he himself have had so many times.

Takket sees the nobleman they saved, saying what happened to someone else. Then, he sees himself and Borttom invading a mansion. There's a noble and his granddaughter they need to save, but all droids of defense are off, and he sees a number of combat situations with spirits. It seems the spirits are trying to kill the man and the girl. So, all images desapear, and he sees a meeting. Many noblemen are present. There's a dim light, and there's a woman smoking cigarretes on the corner. The nobles want to know how they know what's going to happen, and Takket and Tul decided to let that be explained by Borttom. Their group is five, but he can't see the other two, as they're just back of him, and in silence. It continues, to a terrible omen. He's wearing poor clothes, and fetters (grilhões) made of a strange pale white metal, with indigo symbols, from which comes the only light in there. He's tied in. A prisoner, with no chance of freedom, or hope in the future.

Then, he sees himself as on being at the right side of a throne. He's skin is black, with symbols on it, indigo, and he's holding a wondrous staff of power. It's made of a cristaline substance, and there's a blue jewelry on the top, his clothes are silk black.

    Music :: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ekPyC8DGQ-k

He senses his decisions define if one live or die.

The person (he can't see) sitted the throne emanates particles of darkness.

Borttom and Tul see a pearly aura around Takket's head and shoulders.

And then, Takket comes to himself.

    - You had a vision - says Borttom - I know how does it is like.
    - Yeah,... ohe - answer Takket, but his voice carry a different tone from the usual happy tone he's always used.

"Is this the future?", he thinks, confuse.

When Tul was to say something, hiw Pk made a sound (tut-tut) and he had to let the other two. "I have to come back, but I'll be back as soon as I can", he says. Borttom passes his Pk contact to him, and they see the korochi going the trees, from where he came before.

    - Get up the car, Takket. We're late - resumed Borttom.

(At the Ruins of the Mythic Era)

Along a main road, there stand a huge number of castles. Each and every one used in centuries of movies, for the media business. All usually hotels. The enormous number resembles Borttom of the Independent Ducat, a region northwards from Tanka, his place, a huge City State in central Tanahta. But in here, these castles are more of what expected in movies. They're all too old, although in very nice state, all rich in details, like in canvas, or the dreams you have when you dream too deep.

There's an airway in the west from there.

They feel the Inner Sea's maritmic breeze in the dark of the night.

Some time later, they enter a huge forest.

Here, the lights beside the road all end, and the night is only house to the headlights and the small car noise, like an annoying bug in that dark forest. Borttom notice he's really had no vision yet. This means he's on the right way, he knows it. He sees the enormous trees like they were going to get the car and crash it in small pieces, so as a very experienced bogling, he turns on the defense mechanics. Not to use, but to be safe. It's also becoming even darker than usual in the forest.

Not long later, they get beyond the dark forest.

    - We're here, capt'n,... - says Borttom, and he parks the small car.

At the end of the road, essentially.

Takket gets to the ground, and starts to look. It's a huge valley, and the small man gets off the car. They stay in silence, watching. There are no roads. No lights. Not a lonely house, or fire. They're on the entrance way, down to the southwest. There's possibly a way off, on the other side, through the valley and northeast. A mountain covered with eternal snow's on the north. A small village in ruins, on it's bank, and from there another valley, but only a smaller one.
There are maybe a hundred temple ruins, on the north of the calm lake.

Also, they sensed death from the ruins of a prison to the left, and goosebumps coming from every place they can put their eyes on it.

    - Unidentified life form located, range eight hundred normeasures - says the car.
    - Is it,... (Borttom calculates), on that ruins, of a village?
    - Precisely - answer the car.
    - Call a spirit, Takket. We need to talk with them, first, you know.
    - I'll do it, now.

Takket invoke a spirit, and a hyena appears. It's an orange skinned hyena, with white eyes, and it appears at the very moment he entered attune trance to talk.

    "Unusual,...", he thinks.

    - What is it, on that ruin of a village?
    - There's a smell, (answered the hyena), of ambar and iron. It's a female. Too much energy in here, and no true energy. I'm hungry.
    - How long is she in that place? - asked Takket.
    - Four hours (it's spirit speech, but the hyena's pretty clear in her voice).

Takket gave true energy to the spirit, and it answered thankful.

    - It's a child - and the spirit, ("A naemon?" thought Takket), was gone.

The wizard turned to talk with the small man, getting off the trance state, and looking to the direction of those village old buildings.

    - There's a smell of iron and ambar, and it's a child we're looking for, Borttom.
    - I knew it. Wait.

He turned his elektra powers and feels the ambient.

    - It's true. There's so much ionic particles in here, we could fire the place with a thought. Car, wait here. I'll be back as soon as I can. (the car assumed standbye). Let's go. - he says to Takket.

A few minutes later, they got to the ruins of a very old village.

There's not much more than it's foundations, a low wall here and there. A sense of old is present. It's dark, and Takket goes in the front, while Borttom waits. In the thirteenth wall, he listen to a little noise, and he looks for the person he's looking for. There is a small girl, undressed and squeezed in the corner, so he come closer, being careful not to act too fast, to talk with her.

She doesn't talk, so he takes off his coat to give the girl.

The small girl takes the coat, and dress the same way as he was using it, that is, just over herself, but soon she's again squeezed into a corner.

With care, Borttom comes trying not to make too much noise.

They listen to a noise in the other corner, and,...

VVvvvaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh,... - the girl attacked something in there.

It was a ratling, now totally toasted, by a frozen fire, of ambaric orange energy, and Borttom started to analyze what the hell was that.

Then, Takket feels her powers could kill them, in a blink of an eye.

    - Helo - says the wizard - I want to help you. This,... are you hungry? (but she didn't move). This,.. (he ask Borttom to give his "ration"),... Look. You eat this way. (and he shows how to unwrap the cereal bar, and eats, to make sure she sees him eating - and it worked).

Her move was so fast it almost hurt his hand.

She smells the bar, before eating. And she made a noise, as a "Hmm,...". They can't see her face, because she's wearing the travel coat over her head, but she ended eating, and went again to the same position, squeezed in that old ruin wall's cold corner. "Is it good? Do you want some more?", asked Takket, but she didn't looked to the food, they feel she's in complete shock, and so Borttom understood.

This girl was born in here, same way he was born. The same way a poltergeist is born, to become a bogling, just as a simple manifestation.

    - Helo. I'm Borttom - he comes closer - I know what you're feeling. I was born the same way you. I remember, as it were today. I'm here to help you.

Borttom makes silence, waiting, and it worked.

The girl so looked to him.

    (At the Korichi new village)

As soon as Tul got to the village, the oldest man was waiting.

    - What happened, oldest?
    - Have a sit - says him - We have a situation. The four youngsters you see (he pointed the corner), they experienced something unusual.
    - What happened, I want to talk with each one separatedly, oldest man.
    - Use my room, fixer - says the oldest.
    - You, - he points, heading the room - come first.

After talking with the youngsters, no one older than twelve, he concludes he must call his tribe oldest and master, because this is weird enough.

Tul told the youngsters to stay on the place, and called his master.

    Music :: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XnNxcEAgtRg

    - Yes - he listen to his master's voice.
    - Master, we have a situation. I'm on the settlement you've sent me to. There is,... there "was" a huge alignment today, and I'm investigating.
    - I know - says his master - What happened?
    - Four youngsters saw the nothingness. They felt they were in the spacetunnel, and they know the feeling, as they travelled the galaxy to come here. By their description, I can say they saw the very same thing. It's a crashed, I mean, a wrecked ship, in the nothingness.
    - That's good you called, Tul. I'll have to investigate this, and my seer just told me you'll call again today. Let the youngsters go home. The visions will, and so take much care, tonight.
    - Yes, master - and he ended the call.

When the youngsters went home, he says good night to the oldest man. He's waited, and by his master's voice, the other two may need him, immensely.

    (At the Old Ruins)

The young little girl looked Borttom.

Borttom and Takket just stay there, looking her and offering a cereal bar from time to time. She doesn't looks like speaking, and the small man considers the option she doesn't know how to speak. He knows. He was born in a very similar situation, long ago, in the world of Tanahta. He remembers he attacked everyone, until the oldest agent, who was called 5B, could explain to him he was safe.

So, carefully, Borttom says he'll make a fire, and says they'll camp to Takket.

Of course, the little girl squeezed by the vision of fire, but soon she was curious about it. The small man tries to explain the fire is hot, calling her.

She crawls to the fire, and tries to put her hand on it.

    - Oh-oh,... take care - says Borttom - The fire can burn. It's hot.

As he speaks this, she put her hand in the direction of the fire, feeling the heat, and so she pointed out in the oposite direction, and the ruin walls behind them freezed. A small crust of ice appeared in the walls, while she pointed that direction, and so she looked to the fire, again.

Takket frowned to the icy crust, and looked to Borttom, but decided not to talk.

"This is a tremendous power,...", thinks the wizard in silence.

Borttom's sure she knows they're not here to harm her, but then he remember Tul. The korochi will come, and he needs to talk to him before, not to frighten her.

    It could be really dangerous.

    - Takket - he says - Take much care. I need to go my car, and talk to Tul. What is this noise?
    - What noise? Yes, I can listen. It's coming from - and he looks - up.

Both look to the sky, and there's no star on the sky.

They see a huge cloud of black birds, covering the night up them. It's making a little noise, as their thousand wings flap in counterclock flight.

    - I'll be back in a minute, Takket.
    - Oke. I'm in here. Take care the way back, when Tul comes.
    - Right. I'll remember that.

Borttom waited before teleporting to the car.

Flying, inside a bubble of swarf, Tul noticed he hitted birds, so hitted many more birds, and so stoped. He looked the direction around the coordinates given by Borttom's Pk computer, and sees an immense cloud of birds, black birds, flying in circle, over a valley.

"Easy to find", the korochi thinks, and comes a bit more slowly now.

When he went down, just by Borttom's side, he sees the small man inside the car, looking for a number of diagrams and tables, and statistics on various screens.

    - What's happening?
    - Well, Tul. A girl just born eleven. She's with Takket, on those ruins by the fire. The place is full of ionic energy, so take care.
    - Who's she?
    - That's a good question. I think she was an effect from the alignment. I was born in a very similar way, and she's probably afraid of everything. I guess she's a psionic, and she's just awakening. You must know, as a psionic, the danger we're into, now.
    - Hmm,... Yes. She can blow everything.
    - Exactly - says Borttom.
    - She's with Takket, by that fire over there.
    - I'll call for help.
    - Do it. I'm not from this planet, and you probably know much more than me who to talk to.
    - I'll call my master.

Tul walked some ten normeasures, and explained the situation to his master. The elder says he'll sent help, and the man will be using black robes and a turban.

In the meantime, Takket was only trying to give her cereal bars, and stay calm.

Then, Tul comes to the ruin to talk with the little girl.

He tries to not make so much noise. Stoped on the entrance, until see she noticed him, and so walked to sit on Takket`s side.

    - Helo - he focused his mind to get read, and she looked him.

It`s not as telepathy, but it`s the most he can do.

    - Helo.

Her voice, in his mind, was so high and loud he almost fainted. Takket saw a small line of blood coming from Tul`s left ear, but decided to say nothing.

    - Don`t (he focused again),... don`t say anything more in my mind. Please. It,... hurts.

    The girl looked confuse.

    - I want you to know we`re here to help you. But don`t say anything, yet. I have to go, but I`ll come back.

So, the little girl looked to understand, and he stand up to go back the car.

Minutes later, Borttom and Tul listen to a sport car coming. It came through the dark forest, and stoped at a near distance.

The man leaves the car and come to talk.

At the same time, a ship stoped in mid air watching them. A military six boxes ship, but the man looked at the ship and started to talk.

    - Do you have open channel into you car?
    - Yes, I do - answers Borttom.
    - Open a channel with that ship over us - says the man.

Borttom did this, and the ship called back.

    - Leave this place, immediately - says the man - This is an Intelligence affair. I call the Protocol Eleven on your computer. Code Yellow. You must leave now.

Borttom didn't understood right away, but he saw on the screen the answer "Copy", and the ship started to move upwards, going away.

    - Situation? - asks the man to Tul.
    - A little girl. We think she was born by the alignment. She's a psionic. She's awakening. I have,... talked to her, but she has a tremendous power. I asked her not to talk in our minds, until you come. The valley`s full of ionic energy, so we must take care, or it may explode.
    - Let`s go. We need to calm her, until the awakening ends - says the man.

He`s probably a korochi, thinks Borttom.

    Music :: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iJ8366kq9mk

They came silently, but stoped by the entrance. She saw `em, and so they entered.

While the korochi talks with her, in telepathic bond, Borttom called Tul and Takket`s attention, so they let the man talk to the girl by the fire.

Outside the ruin, but still on the village, they talk.

    - What do you think, Borttom?
    - Well, Tul. She was born in the same way I was born. I understand her.
    - Your ear bled - commented Takket.
    - That was a "Helo". She doesn't know her power - concluded Tul.
    - I haven't had more visions. That means we're on the right direction in this all.
    - Well, Borttom. I sense you have more to say.
    - Yes, I do. Besides I having no more visions, this can mean the oposite side on the planet was the oposite of her, I mean, something surely happened on the other side.
    - Whatever it was, it has already happened - concluded Takket.
    - Yeah,... (Borttom sighed),...
    - You look deserted, by my affirmative.
    - Whatever the other side is,... (Borttom stoped, thinking),... it's her oposite.
    - Let's not talk too much about it, right now. Could we?
    - You're oke, Tul - says Takket.
    - I need to think. Shit. I need a piano, and there's no on ein in here.
    - You play the piano, Borttom? That's nice.
    - It's not, Takket. Believe me.
    - Takket.
    - Yeah, Tul?
    - Just come with me. Let's let Borttom think.
    - Oke.

Tul and Takket went to a walk.

The village ruins are on top of a hill, by the icy mountain, and there's another valley on the side, back of the other smaller mountain where they can see an ancient prison. They sense death coming from the prison. Tul levitated five small iron arrows, and sent in medium speed, but the arrows simply vanished when they entered the other valley, so he come to the conclusion this is not a way going there.

He stops to sense metals, and there's a medium size metal object down the end of the village.

Tul murmured "Come" to the wizard and they went that place. Coming there, the psionic started to take off the earth in there to bring the metal thing up. This could be used to protect them, in case she just explode everything, but then he looked to the object.

It's a metal coffin, locked with silver coffin nails.

He immediately started to dig, deeper, to put the coffin back there the fast he could. So, he put the earth all back, and looked to the wizard.

Their eyes agree it's better burried deep inside the earth.

Borttom concluded the ship came to see the exact same thing they came, but they came first. The little girl, as have said Agent 16B, is also maybe an efect of a mythology effect. He then came to the conclusion his visions will give a bit more, as soon anyone take a move, during the Event. He'll have to wait. Then, he goes to the fire, to stay by the girl's side, and meditate with no thoughts in mind. He remembers he saw in his visions a dubious image which could be an ikka, or an ejik girl. Both would be blame for the whole Event. There's also something about demonic things he couldn't see exactly what they'd be.

Minutes passed, and the korochi man then turned to Borttom.

    - Take care of her. I'll go my car, and come back.
    - Safe and sound, man - he replies.

The man soon was back, with a barbecue kit.

Takket started to like him, as every wanderer like people who gives them food. Soon, there was meat on the fire, and they were all together, waiting.

So, long minutes later, they all sensed her presence, and look to her.

    - Helo - she says, for the very first time.
    - That,... (starts Tul),.. is much better. Helo.

She starts to eat, and she likes the food much more, now.

And so, the black birds start to go away. None of 'em got down. They were like flying around, in counterclock direction, and soon only a few birds were seen.

Day started to come, and the little girl was just amazed by the dawn.

    - Now, (says the man in black robes and turban), I'll teach you how to dress yourself. I'll show you in my mind, so go to that corner back, please.

She took a bag with the clothes, but didn't move to that place he pointed. She just thrown the coat on the ground and dressed herself.

But then, she looked to the coat, and got it from the ground. She handed it back to the wizard.

    - Ohe. Thank you - says him.

Minutes were passing, and they stay in there, eating. At some point, she yawned and lay on the floor. The wizard took his coat off again, and put as a pillow to her, down her head.

    Music :: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U9ElMQqkeJg

They all sensed, at the same time.

All the danger was gone. The awakening ended.

    - Come here, you all - says the man, pointing outside and off the fire.

They all came to talk, now it's all safe.

    - Greetings. I'm Agent Aut, and I came here by a call Tul had made, to one of our elders. You did well, taking care of this little girl.
    - Nice to meet you. I'm agent Alppa, Tanahta's Regence - says Borttom.
    - I see. Now I understand. You're investigating the alignment so, probably, Alppa?
    - Ah,... the whole Event, basically. That's how I know Tul, and Takket, but you seem really prepared to anything, so what you think is the next step, Agent?
    - Well, Alppa. (he stoped to think). You're the closest thing she has as a family.
    - And that means?
    - That means the korochi race will provide you all we can. Do you have a quarters?
    - No. I've got to the planet just yesterday. Takket's a wanderer.
    - I'll arrange a small castle, here in the region of ruins. This will make her feel home, in a way. Are there anyone else with you?
    - I have only an immediate, on my ship - says Borttom, and Takket just shook his head.
    - Is she an ejik, Alppa?  - asked Aut.
    - Call me Borttom, please. No. She's not.
    - I'll give a defese droid, to the castle, and I'll chose an ejik psionic woman to help you all. She needs to learn the ejik culture, as she looks ejik. I'm sure she's not, but no one else will notice. I'll send a van here, and it will come in less than an hour. The van will take you to a safeplace, and then to the castle next, but you need to take much care, even if she looks to like you as her family. Do you understand?
    - Yeah - says Takket.
    - Yes, Agent - concluded Borttom - We'll be waiting.
    - And you, Tul. Explain basics on concentration, and how to calm her mind.
    - I'll do it - says the korochi psionic.
    - Is she a legend, Agent? - Borttom asked, and the agent stoped to think about that.
    - Probably, Borttom. And a gallactic legend.
    - That explains everything. Thank you.
    - I'll get back to you by tomorrow, at the safeplace castle.

That said, the Agent let them with the little girl.

So, they eat what's left, getting ready to go, and see beautiful nimbus clouds until the horizon.

An hour later, the van came and Tul was going to move her with telekineses to the van by the entrance of that valleys, but they listen to her voice.

It's a hiss. A language each of 'em didn't wanted to listen to, now.

She's talking while sleeping, in Snake language.

    (End of Session)

    Some Considerations necessary

Here ends the first part of this Story. The introduction part. The group gathered around the Event, but as they salved the duke on the unknown ritual he'd get killed, there's no certainty about what will happen next. Of course, they'll need some time to think.

Let's get now to other stories needed to understand all this.

I hope you're enjoying the reading, and,...
        ... Stay Plugged.
