Tales of Supernatural (#02-3b)

    Helo, and Be welcome.

This is the second part of the side adventure The Village of Uke, by Sol Cajueiro, here at the Action Tale blog, so make yourself confortable and get ready.

Session of Play runned on November 29, 2011.

Please wait while I'm chosing the songs.

(On the Last session of play,...)

And so, the doctor came up, saying he let his nurse droid take care of everything, while they deal with the ghost upside. The ranger asked for a special medical adhesive to stay awake. The boy kept awake, trying to read a book which decides for itself what you want to read. Strange noises and ghostly mists were happening all the time, and the ranger continuously asked the boy to find it fast how they can deal with the monster.

Then, in the middle of the night, while the doctor was holding his Pk on his right hand, they saw her.

By the corridor, they all sensed danger on the place. A pale ghost of an eleven years old girl, stoped by the passage, looking like a dangerous weird figure.

About the Music :: I do not intend any offence to anyone's right, and I do not really own the music I suggest my readers listen during the Story; the suggestion is in honour to the musicians who created those beautiful songs, and I explicitly want to thank you very much.

(The Village of Uke - Part 2)

Kappko is known for his dedicated time to online gaming, and debuging of game code. He never gained money for that, actually. He do that for pleasure. This way, he's the one person on the village of Uke who knows more computing than everyone else.

    Today is a different day.

He just can't stay on the cooking pod and pretend nothing's happening.

So, he keeps the Pk screen opened, down the balcony. He's trying to hack the cameras on the Doctor's house, so as this may be criminal, no one should see it. Every now and then, he codes something, and see what happens, but the only camera he could get was the front door camera, until then the images come. A very common house, from inside, nothing unusual unless you think the Ranger Boolwec is holding his gun, looking fearsome, and pointing in every direction, all the time.

"Think, Kappko. Think", he repeated to himself in silence.

Years ago, he revisited an old game board on the media, in which there was a very old game named Tales of Supernatural, with real information from phenomenology and pseudo-magicians lore. There was a level in which you needed to deal with a creature ghost, a "Haunter". It made the wall bleed. The game, now two centuries old, is no more a success, but it was on it's age.

Then, thinking about what happened, the man with no blood, blood on the walls, and seeing the Ranger acting as being "haunted", he thought it was a nice information. He found the board on the media, and copied the text so sent to the Doctor, who he sees on the camera is holding his Pk and analyzing data, at the same time he sees the spirit really assuming physical form in the corridor.

As the spirit Haunter appears, the image blurs and statics.

"They'll not have the time to read", he thought.

    (The Haunter by the Corridor)

Doctor Pellsèg looked at his Pk and saw the data on how to confront a Haunter.

But the haunter's now looking at them, by the corridor.

Strange sounds of squelching come from the walls, and the ten or eleven years old ghost look at them, with the chin a little low, and dark circles on her eyes. The boy looked at the Doctor's screen on the air, saw the word Haunter on there, and thought fast.

    This way, Dundièn Loi shouted.

    - Shoot her! - and the ranger very fast shoot the ghost.

As more fast as the ranger, the spirit haunter jumped, and while a green white ooze come from her, she got the ranger's mouth, and entered his throat down.

    - Aahh-rr-eeeeenn,... (says the possessed ranger),...
    - Get out of his body! - cried Loi.
    - Why? He's just shoot me,... you've been bad to mee,....
    - We didn't mean to - tried the boy again.
    - You didn't mean to? You just shouted him to shoot me! I know what to do,...

And she, armed with a gun, gives a direct hit on the ranger's foot.

The sound is listened by the small village's central square, but somehow no one noticed. Kappko was the only person to gives it the attention needed. He stoped what he was doing, an egg bacon sandwish with spicy sauce, to look to the screen down the balcony.

The student Loi jumped over the ranger, and as he's not in control of himself, the haunter's not so well trained as him to make anything. He imobilized his body. Trying to fight for freedom, while doctor Pellsèg put him to sleep with a dose of medicine he keeps ready for people in shock.

    - I don't know what happened, Loi - says the doctor - This just appeared on my Pk. It's a serious instruction on how to deal with this kind of ghost.
    - Let me see it - the boy got the screen on the air, and he had an idea.

Loi got the databank from the dead noble, and put the password "Haunter".

It opened, with no more words.

The databank shows that in fact the noble was not a noble, but he was really rich. He was interested in phenomenology lore, and he was investigating the Case. Some years ago, a small girl saved her best friend girl from a fire, but the other girl have not do the same in a moment later, she runned, and the small girl, eleven, died in the fire on that building, on the North Realms.

    - Did he had family, doctor?
    - The normal data on his Pk says he had a daughter. She died.
    - That's it. I'm sure of it - and he types it.

And the second password was in fact "Daughter".

    - What do we have in there, Loi? - the doctor was taking care of Kue the ranger's hurt foot.
    - It's no good. Wow. This haunter is centuries old - resumes the boy - It happen to life again and again, everytime a little girl dies the same way and so. And I've got her to my dreams, somehow,...

The waitress, on her couch, gave a loud hiccough, crying.

    - It says here 302 people had already died to this haunter, a number of,...
    - Hwóoah-rr-eeheee,... - they look to the ranger's body.

So, the haunter found a way to speak.

    - I wanted to keep those people from dying, doctor, but that's all done. She's waking. Be prepared, doctor, he's not himself. It's the haunter.
    - Yooou wanted not those people to die,...
    - I didn't. Hhm,... how may I call you?
    - So, these people shoudn't have to die?
    - Some people should die, but it's not our choice who would or wouldn't.
    - You don't know suffering and despair,... and YOU are my target number one, now. I shall give you suffering and despair enough to change your mind,... I've passed too much time with him,... and he'll wake in fire.
    - Wait! - shouted Loi, but it was too late.

So, the haunter got out off the ranger's body, by his mouth.

And the ranger awakens while his body, they tied him to the chair, was in fire.

    Music :: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XV3rt3dn0c8

    - AAAaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh,.....

Then, the ghost assumed the first pair of paws and prepared.

    - Do something! - shouted the doctor.

While the doctor tried to get the gun, a paw almost drilled him through.

    Music :: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bzNbzyM_nDE

He jumped on the ground, and rolled over to run away from the paw, which tried to attack him. He's an old guy, thought the boy, and I have no other options.

The boy Loi immedaitely opened his Grimoire, and thought of a way to put off the fire. Closed. And opened again, to read and do the magic, he didn't know how to do it, but he had no choice.

    - Hláhklammo Hu! - he shouted the words on the Book.

Immedaitely, the whole second floor became all water, and the water kept them from breathing. A huge sensation of "I'm going to die" assaulted them.

And so, the water materialyzed pure and starts to brake the house walls.

Kappko started to run, feeling they'd all die - he saw the gun being thrown down the stairs. He shouted "Someone turn off mah grill!", while running.

He crossed the central square of Uke running fast.

    This time, everyone noticed.

Meanwhile, they stood breathless, underwater, but the fire extinguished.

    - Quick! - Kappko shouted to the doctor's droid - The 'ouse's going to come down! Get the doctor's most 'mportant things off now!

While the droid was thinking about it, he rushed upstairs.

    - Stop now, girl! I know your story! - shouted Kappko, but he was not successful on his bluff, and the spirit looks at him as the next target.

    The spirit girl's laughing.

Now with the ranger's gun he got on the stairs, he so shoots the haunter. Once. Twice. She was already in the haunter form of four paws, two arms and legs in the air. He knows it's her time to attack, but the bullets went in slow motion inside the strange water conjured. They hitted. And so, all the walls start to come down, the water goes through the windows, the whole house is ruined.

Only the stairway stays intact, and Kappko hides the ranger's gun.

    (The Haunter disappears)

Everyone on the Uke village went to see what was happening.

    Music :: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ctjKV-IbG78

Doctor Prasséc Pellsèg's house came down. They see the droid coming out with a huge box of bioplastic, and the cookman Kappko coming from the stairway, the only part of the house still intact.

    - Help! Help, everyone! Call 'mergency now! - shouted Kappko, coming down.

While everyone called emergency, he started to look for Dundièn Loi the boy, the doctor, and the ranger Kue, and he found Loi in the sideyard.

    - Loi! I hited it, but then i'all came down - says Kappko.
    - My grimoire? - the boy asked in total despair.
    - I don't know. Let's find the oth'rs. They can be down the wreck'ge.
    - That's a mad dog coming - and Loi stands up the faster he could to run away from the neighbor's four fronted legs dog, a black menace barking at them, and while Kappko went to the street, Loi went the backyard.

It was there, by the side of Boolwec Kue's still living body.

Pretending to see if he's still breathing, he didn't know how he managed to do it, but he got his Grimoire and hides it inside the ranger's dreams.

The two polizie officers, the ranger's men, get off the small polizie place.

Soon, everyone's helping with the wreckage and rescue.

Minutes later, the emergency came. Ranger Kue, with a strange skin condition, was the first to be taken to a special ambulance, and as soon as the surgeon comes, the city was safe - it was everyone's thought - but Loi knows now the haunter's missing, they won only the first battle.

Loi fainted, but was put to rest in a room on the polizie place, and some time later he woke up.

    - Stay there, lying, boy - says a man.

    Music :: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7pmXZxOJWFA

He decides to get off his body, breathe a few times, and saw the square at night.

Then, he sees two firemen talking and gets closer to listen.

    - ,... so it's probably a haunter.
    - That's bad. Who's the boy, who show the strange aura?
    - He's a local, chief. The trace is his, so somehow he's an arcanist.
    - I bet he doesn't know what he was doing.
    - That's for sure, chief, but he saved the day in here.
    - Which class is the haunter?
    - It's a Class Two. I know, i know. It's really rare, but we cannot deal with this right now, chief. Those missing in the other city are much more important now.
    - I know. The media's on the case. How much time we have, until the next manifestation?
    - A month, maybe.
    - Let's take care of Case Missing, and so we come back in a month.
    - Yes, Chief. I'll say it the other agents.

But then, Loi was called back to his mind by a man.

    - Hey, boy! - the man raises his voice.
    - Oh, oke. What is it?
    - You looks like you're in shock. But you're not hurt. Go home, now. The officer's going your home tomorrow to get your testimony.
    - I want to talk with the surgeon,... sir.
    - The ranger's oke. Happy for everyone, the cookman's smell sense is the best in town. He saved the day, we already know everything, but still you're coming tomorrow for testimony, oke?
    - Hhm,... yes, sir.

A neighbor was outside to take Loi his home.

His father was waiting for Loi.

    (Day 4, Saturday)

Loi woke, and while he has time to do it, he decides to make the only ritual he knows. To enter the Dream plane, and get his grimoire back.

When he got back, the Book just disapeared.

So, he was really shocked, when he done his testimony this morning.

The polizie officer considered his testimony as halucinations. Better this way, he just thought. And so, as each one had given a halucination testimony, they all had to make some dangerous virus tests, but soon they all were home again, but the sensation of the haunter presence didn't disappeared.

Kappko, who got the deadman's Pk, investigates it.

Seen the data, he knows now the girl haunter's name is probably Ayalwa. She's more than 200 years old, what makes a haunter much much stronger.

    - Kappko, I guess the girl's just a memory.

    (Day 5, Sunday - at Kappko's Sandwisherie)

    - I'm not so sure, Loi. It looks she's not `ere anymore, or else, she's waiting.
    - We need to get prepared. She will come back. I've gone the Castle today, in astral form, and the spirit of the woman which lives in there says she'll help us, because a haunter is just the oposite of a free spirit. It's a spirit of regret, and she got angry with the presence of the haunter. The orange lake almost cured me of the hurt, but the man yesterday, he just called me back somehow, and I had no time to dure myself.
    - You say those men were talkin` about c`ming back in a month, hoe?
    - Yes. It means they know what happened.
    - Yoe, boy. It means another thin', too. It means the sp'rit'll come bac' to haunt and kill us. Study yoa'r book to see what we're goona do, pawn.
    - You have my word, Kappko.

They talk on the only moment the grill had a moment of rest.

    - Why the officers just asked nonsense to us, Kappko?
    - They mus'be under magic, pawn. You saw the 'mergency men talkin'.
    - Who are they? How can they know what happened there?
    - They work fo' da Gov, Loi. 'tis a secret. They erase people's mind, and hides da truth. 'tis said they kill those who know too much, yeah. Belie'me, boy.
    - Dunno, Kappko. But we better get prepared.
    - Yeah, u're oke, we goona prepare, and kick 'em outa Uke - says the cookman.
    - They're going to come back - concludes Dundièn Loi.

Nothing more happened, the day following.

(At The Region of Ruins, Tol Rim)

A huge and strong vision, in which a number of commons try dealing with a Haunter. He sees it's a Class Two spirit of regret, probably 200 years old.

He also feel their fear in dealing with the unknown.

And so, Borttom got back to himself.

Takket was drinking his tea, and with much care, he spoke.

    - A vision, Borttom?
    - Crap. This I ain't liked. Going outside, smoke a ciggar. We talk later.
    - I know the feeling, Borttom.

And this way, Takket had the feeling again.

A feeling that it all is planed, but as they say in the Mythology.

    Mortal's are the choices.

(End of Session, and Parallel storyline)

    Some Considerations necessary

Who was in fact the man who died at the village of Uke?

Mister Kue was walking his village, when he got to the central square and saw a very expensive car in front of the tavern, a bar with more than a hundred sandwishes on the menu, and the only safeplace for eating on Uke. It's a very old house, two floor, and there's a number of shops on the right.

Dundién Loi was passing. He must get to school before 08:15 morning. Loi sees the ranger Kue by the entrance of Paalxi's sandwicherie, but he stops at the sense of something. A sense of out of place, something in the square is different, or gathers that sense which makes you think there's a wrong thing around, was it a weirdy, a nightmare, or a damned item, he doesn't know.

He almost forgot everything about it, during math test this morning.

Kue first looked at the car. A very expensive vehicle, some only the corporates can use because the right of use is restricted, and probably armored.

    - Good morning, Kappko - he says.
    - Oha! Mornin', ranger Kue. Whareo need?
    - Black caoffee and no sweet.
    - Here's it. 'f you want a sandwich, just ask. Hi, old Doe. Wap?
    - Mroning, cook - says the old man, and he nodded to cumpliment Kue, looking to the foreigner sitted at the table six drinking a freshfruit juice and analyzing a screen.
    - Wharyou need, Doe? - asked Kappko.
    - Give me a stroke of scrambled eggs wi' bacon - says the old man.
    - Excuse me - says mister Kue.

He went to talk to the foreigner, stoping by his table.

    - Helo, visitor. Be welcome to Uke - says the ranger.
    - Ohe, thank you, ranger. I'm just passing. On a trip to Ryklant. But the city's great. Is that a mythic era's castle, I can see by the valley ends?
    - It's private. The family holds the right for the last millennia, or so.
    - There's a cemetery, also. Huge.
    - The older the city, the bigger it's cemetery - says the ranger.
    - What's the speciality of this city, if you please?
    - You're on the right place. Our cookman's the best place to eat, but I would taste the sweets. We have a local cooperative which produce delicious candies, in here.
    - I'll have it, later - says the man - Thank you.
    - If you need something, just ask.

The man smiled, but it looked he was feeling pain, or something.

Of course, the ranger took a very good look at the screen, and it shown the stock market tables. A thing only a rich person would care. Someone with money to buy anything, who could buy the city castle and it wouldn't make a mess on his schedule.

The young bullying boys got to eat, and at the sight of the ranger, they stay calm and caused not problems. Mister Kue's respected by the whole village, same way his father before.

So, the day went right and the sunset was beautiful.

Youngsters went to the main square to celebrate the moon entity, the Bloody, and this time the raýla moon was mostly something one could not describe.

    Red, bloody and immense.

The second moon was not at the sky, by the time the cookman closed.

    (Day 2 - Thursday)

    Music :: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dyww-gD-KOE

At the morning, the ranger Kue received a call, and it was the cookman Kappko saying "Ranger, come here. I don't know what to say. Please, come here" and he went. The sanduicherie was closed. The cooker opened the door, and it was about sunrise. Kue didn't understood a word he was saying, but Kappko took him up the hostel rooms, and opened the room two.
The richman host was on the bed, and he's dead.

Blood features the whole of the room, from the roof to the door, and there's an air of wrong on the place, which a very experienced ranger looked, and closed the door.

    - How did you find him?
    - 'was coming to see 'f 'e wanted someth'g an' h'was dead. Every morning, I do cleanse on the bathrooms, an' take 'e garbage wastes.
    - Close the room, and don't let anyone get up here. I'll see the doctor first, so he'll say what happened. You do your work as nothing happened, because the killer must be around.
    - Yews, sir - answered the cooker.

The morning was running normal, to most of the 329 inhabitants, and for the last 9 years mister Kue served the village of Uke, by the borders of Tachiza and Abbas, since he mastered ranger at the police corporation, this was the very first time he had no clue of what's going on.

He called Doctor Prassèc Pellsèg saying this was a call of duty.

The doctor, when came to the place, stared at the room. He moved his left hand to mouth and down, as every doctor should do, and started to think.

After some investigation, Pellsèg concluded the blood from the dry body simply exhaled from the body, and it went in every direction.

And so, he saw a thing at the window.

    - See here, ranger - says the doctor - It's a hand, like one of a child. Maybe eleven years old. And it's from outside the window. Kappko, was this window opened, when you came into the room?
    - Nope, wasn'd. 'tis the same way i' was, by the time I got in.
    - What do you think it can be, doctor?
    - I don't know, ranger. But,... as soon as the phenomenologists come here, you'll lose your ranger status, and the village will be on the news.
    - I know - says the ranger - Kappko, we need to talk with Bo. Do you know if she's on her room?
    - She's 'ome, ranger. I'll take you to 'er room on the back o' the hostel.

While doctor Pellsèg continued analyzing the dried body, the ranger went down with the cookman to talk with the beautiful girl who lives on the back of the restaurant. After going down the stairs, he noticed he could see the window which the doctor found the little hand, and the cookman knocked on the door. It took sometime until the young lady open it.

    - Good morning, Drýka Bo - says the officer - I need to talk to you. Kappko.
    - Oke, ranger - says the cookman - 'll wait on the front. 'f ya need me, just call.

The young lady's just woke up, and didn't understood a thing.

    - Any problem, ranger? - she asked.
    - I need to ask you if you listened to anything wrong during the night.
    - Well,... - she passed her left hand on her head and hair - yes. I could not sleep well, 'cause I stay listening to a sound, as it was a branch hitting a window. Like,... repeatedly. "Tack, ta-tacke, tack" all night long, and I think I've listened to a child's voice, like, singing. She was afraid, or maybe crying.
    - Good. Don't you have to work today, miss Bo?
    - No - she's looking terrible - I've just sent a message to the tavern, saying I'm sick. I just got a cold. Nothing serious, hope not.
    - Oke. Stay home, but call Kappko if you listen to anything strange.
    - Is there something wrong, ranger?
    - Yes, but I need you not telling this anyone. I'm working on something important, Bo, and so don't tell I've came to talk to you yet or it will mess us up.

Once the waitress agreed, he looked she locking the door, and went up again.

    - This is serious, ranger - says doctor Pellsèg - This person had all his blood drained while dying, and he's face shows fear. Look. There's no fingerprints besides his own, and the only thing not covered with blood is this small table, at the right of the bed.
    - Someone took all his blood off him.
    - No, ranger. The blood we can see on the walls is not his same blood type.
    - Now I agree with what you've said, doctor. If we make it public, the phenomenologists will come as soon as the wind blows. We need to solve the crime without calling them, or the media will talk about it for the next century, and we're going to lose our village to the supernatural mad people.
    - I'll call the city council to talk, by my house, in about three hours. We're going to need someone with a special lore on what's happening.
    - What do you mean, doctor?
    - The boy, our best student in town; Dundièn Loi.
    - What about him?
    - He'll probably be on the central square by now, watching.
    - Do you suspect of him?
    - No. No, no. He's studying magic, ranger, and you're going to need his guidance. I know, oke. But we just can't throw away the possibility that this is a supernatural occurrence, ranger.
    - I'll go talk with him, and he's going to be my assistant.
    - And I, well, the elders will need about an hour to go my house, so keep your eyes opened.
    - I'll call Kappko and order to close the second floor.

    Music :: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oNvFPKujc5w

That said, the ranger send a message to his two assistant officers, to duty. He explained they must not call the attention of the people, but must take turns into watching the village. Anything strange must be reported, even small things can give a hint of what's happening. They don't ask, just do. And as the doctor said, the best student was on the plaza reading a book, but he immediately looked the ranger coming, and looked as knowing something was wrong. The ranger doesn't like this kind o' thing.
    - Come with me, Dundièn Loi.
    - May I help you, ranger? - the youngster asked promptly.
    - This time, you'll be my assistant. Let's go the doctor's house, and have a little talk. Don't stay out of my line of sight.

After explaining the young boy what's happening, he was surprised doctor Pellsèg knew about his studies about magic, but agreed to help. Dundièn explained he never told anyone he studies dreamcasting magic, which is what their village name means from the mythic era word, Huhka, but the ranger replied.

    - The elders know much more than you think, Loi.
    - Not on our village, ranger. Magic is a secret so old and lost, no one knows much about it. I study it from a grimoire, which was my grand grandfather's. I study dreamcasting.
    - Right oke. Let's go get your book right now, and see what you can find.

They went Loi's house, by the end of the valey, where they can see the old Aoke family castle, on one side, and the Valey of Shadows on the other.

Loi's father is blind, but he was happy when his son says he's a ranger trainee now.

Then, after Loi got his book, they went back to doctor Pellsèg's house.

    (After the Elder's meeting)

Loi was the whole morning inspecting his grimoire to see what he could do. When the elders got to a conclusion, they are in the case. They decided they don't want phenomenologists on their village, and gave order to the ranger to solve the crime before it comes to the media.

    - It's a Haunter. Look - says the boy, showing the page.
    - Are you trying to say there's a ghost killing people on my town, boy?
    - That's exactly what I'm saying, ranger Boolwec.

The ranger didn't know if he should laugh or take that seriously.

    - And how do we kill it?
    - Huh,.... it doesn't say in here. Let me see,... it just say here we can open a portal to the dream plane while it's at the point of killing someone, and to face it and talk to it to discover it's weakness.
    - Great. It sounds like serious babbling to me - confronted the ranger.
    - No, ranger - says Loi - It's serious. It says here it will start killing everyone, and it can kill an entire population, and so the dream plane dead it take days to turn the place into a necropolis.
    - I don't know anything about what you're saying.
    - Believe me. We're in deep danger.

The ranger Boolwec Kue never ever believed in ghosts. His training at the police corporation ended nine years ago, and they receive the best training on Akkoya. But well, he always listened strange stories the old officers tell, and now he just hope this is not the case.

So, there at the doctor's house, they listened the boy Loi with disbelief.

Night came, and the ranger took the boy his house.

    (During the second Night)

Dundièn Loi decides to walk the dreams of his village.

He just passes on with the proper ritual, the only ritual he's a master, to open the dreamway and so entered some people's dream this night.

After going the ranger's dreams, he entered the young waitress Drýka Bo's dream.

She's crying on her dreams, and he watches everything.

Suddenly, the dreams started to attack him. A huge cloud of black birds appeared from nothing, and a canion formed under his feet. He started to fall, and controlling dream he created a passage off there, taking the black birds with him to his own dreamcasting.

And he got aware, breathing fast.

    - Shit - he says - I've got the Haunter to my dreams.

He puts his hand on his face, knowing he's doomed now. And so, he waited the day break and go tell the ranger what happened.

    (Day 3 - Friday)

    Music :: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pUd8ki1sMxc

    - I'm talking seriously, ranger. I've took the Haunter to my dreams.
    - Do you enter people's dreams while they're sleeping, boy? This is too invasive, even if I don't believe in anything like magic, to tell the truth.
    - I've got the Haunter with me, and I'll have to kill it now - the boy mumbles in fear.
    - He may be talking seriously, ranger - says the doctor.
    - Doctor, we need the information which is in the man's Pk computer now. I know this is a crime, but we're in an investigation, a murder investigation. What do you think?
    - Hhm,... I agree. The only one on town who could do it is Kappko.
    - I'll go there and ask him to break the codes.

While the ranger went to Kappko's, Loi started to walk from one side to another, on the second floor of doctor Pellsèg's house.

    - My 'olographic table's broken, ranger.
    - Kappko, this is serious. We need this information, and I know you hate agreeing with me and the doctor to move the body during the night, but I am the law in here. If we decided to do it, we need to find the guilty before it leaves town, and that's probably today. We need to know who the dead man was.
    - I agreed to move the body because you've sai' me to agree, ranger. But hacking a Pk is a non-bailable crime, and I'm goin' jail fo' that.
    - Kappko,...
    - Oooke. That's oke, ranger. I'll do it, but you assume the reapons'bility fo' that.

The best gamer in town turned his holographic table on, and started hacking the Pk computer, on the back rooms of his old sick father's restaurant. In about two hours, all the information was recovered. The ranger so tell him to erase all the information, and he did it soon away.

But so, the specialist in games started to think about everything that's happening, and watch everything from his own table computer.

The ranger went back the hostel restaurant to talk to the girl Bo.

    - We need to talk, Bo - says him - Get dressed, and come with me right now.

She got some clothes, but even if she didn't know what's happening, she's confident the ranger's doing all he can do to the good of everyone.

    (Back to the Doctor's house)

    - Doctor, we're on quarantine now, and you'll say this if someone asks. Tell them we've got a cold, and to avoid passing this to everyone, we're under care.
    - Hhm,... oke, ranger. But the man's car is still on the front of the sanduicherie. I tell you to ask on eof the two officers to take it to the ranger office.
    - I'll do it.

The doctor so sealed the second floor's metal grid door.

    Music :: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T4KCx5cPrH8

    - Now, boy. You say what we need to do.
    - Hhm,... ranger - says the girl - I'm not feeling well. I'll take a room and rest, is that oke?
    - That's oke, Bo. Go get some rest.
    - Ranger, all I can do is to investigate my grimoire to see what to do.
    - So do it. I'm organizing the investigations from my Pk, and if you're not telling the truth, you know now you're my first suspect. Be careful, boy.
    - I'm not lying. I know what's happening.
    - Me too. I don't see magic anywhere, boy, and you're my suspect.
    - But,... - he just sighed, and looked at his grimoire.

Two hours later, the ranger and the boy listened to a strange noise from the room the girl was sleeping. The ranger mouthed "Stay here" to Loi, and went to see.

When Kue opened the door, he saw a ghost around the girl and she was in up the air.

He didn't know what to do at the sight of it.

The ghost desapeared, and the girl softly went down the bed. So, the closet door opened and he took his gun off the holster, but nothing happened. He went back the entrance room and the boy saw his pale face, put his book away and got up to talk.

    - What happened?
    - It IS a ghost - says the ranger - I've seen it, right now.
    - The book says the Haunter's stronger as a powerful wizard during the days after "eating". Yes, it ate the man it killed.
    - What are we going to do, now?
    - I'm working on it, but the book stay changing to pages with nothing to do with the case, to show pages about opening portals.

They listened to a haunting noise, from the back of the corridor.

    - Go on, boy. The case is yours, and we are doomed. I'll call the doctor from downstairs.
    - I'm working on it, ranger.
    - Do your best.

Minutes later, doctor Pellsèg was taking pulse from the ranger and the boy, to see nothing was wrong.

At this moment, when the doctor was taking pulse of the boy, the ranger saw a white small hand coming from the side of the boy's head. He saw the ghost of a small girl, about eleven, behind the boy's head, and when she saw him looking she just disappeared.

    - It's a ghost, doctor - he says - I've just seen her. She's a small girl, eleven. Man, we're doomed. Don't you think we should call the phenomenologists now, doctor Pellsèg?
    - They would destroy our city, and the case would go to the media as a phenomenologist case, what would for sure bring all kind of mad people to town - resumed the doctor.
    - Boy, the case's yours. Just find a way to take this "thing" away, or,...
    - I'm working on it, ranger - says Loi.

Doctor Pellsèg went back the rooms to take his medicine, and the noise of wood cracking and a man's scream got the ranger off to run and see what was that. When he got to the rooms on the backside, there was a ghost with four spider legs and a mouth of dangerous teeth ready to kill and eat the doctor.

He took his gun and shoot twice. Pah! Pah! - and it disappeared.

The doctor's white coat was full of a substance part green part blue, when he got the man up his feet, and they went to the main room again.

    - Wake the girl, doctor - the ranger says - No one's safe here. Boy, what do you have?
    - We need to talk with the haunter, to understand it's story and break the curse over it's spirit, but nothing on how we could defend ourselves.
    - Damn it! Keep doing your research, boy. Doctor, I need caoffee.
    - I'll do it, but please stay calm, ranger.
    - It's a daemon, doctor! It a real real daemon.
    - It's not a daemon, ranger - says the boy - We would be in real danger if it was a daemon.
    - Doctor, I need caoffee please.

Hours were passing, and here and there the ghost appeared, haunting them.

The girl started to shake in fear, and squeezed on the sofa. The ranger looked the streets all the time, but it seems his gunfire wasn't listened on the village. He keeps saying "We're doomed", madly, what didn't helped the boy to find anything useful on the grimoire.

(That night, at the Doctor's house)

    Music :: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PheCRfqXDwk

When it comes night, they started to see the haunter ghost moving, making noises.

    Moving things, appearing and disappearing.

They didn't sleep, and the fear was in the air, making breathing difficult.

The girl was shaking all the time, and so she fell asleep.

Only to wake with the squelching noise on the house, and start to cry, and the ranger took off his shirt, branding the gun in various directions.

Nimbus of Tomorrow (#02-2)

    Halloi (Helo), and Be welcome.

Welcome to Kalaummuklutwe, also called by the nickname of Akkoya. A capital world, where the ejik races have their central order.

This is a Story adapted from a story played, and so written in here under Creative Commons.

Please, leave a comment if you want, and let me know if you used any of my ideas in your games. That is the essential idea of using Creative Commons. We can use each creative works we want, and so melt them into a new campaign, setting, or else, and our RPG story will be much more meaningful, to ourselves and to the groups we master those stories.

About the Music :: I do not intend any offence to anyone's right, and I do not own the music I suggest my readers listen during the Story; the suggestion is in honour to the musicians who created those beautiful songs, and I want to thank you very much, for posting these great songs.

This session runned on July 31, 2011, Belo Horizonte, Brazil.

    A Brief Log

Ryklant is a large city, with high tower buildings. Most of the population works on the two major business, the Media, and the Academy Base of Ryklant (ABR), both runned for the last two millennia in accordance with this being a main capital world within the Alliance.

Although Ryklant is huge, with more than 15 million people in the urban area, Tol Rim in the west is bigger, and the East Aglomerate is much more.

This is the main capital for the Academy.

The eastside is a military training base for the Academy, and it contrasts with the mountains in the west and central regions. There is a huge area, in about eight hundred kilomeasures to the northeast, which are ruins, necropolis, all related to ancient history, and mythology.

The north area's full of life, and it is alive all day and night.

So, we come to the south to see the major Media corporation areas, which gathers the seventeen major corps within the business.

There are many problems in the south area. Those includes drugs, trafic and prostitution, but the media corporations do nothing to deal with it properly.

Main central area's full of life, the whole year, and that's where solstices and equinoxes are celebrated.

So, I welcome you to enter this capital city.

Hope you enjoy your stay, and leave a message in our space.

    Nimbus of Tomorrow (#02-2)

    Music :: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JATGmvJT5qY

As soon as Borttom parked the car, he and Takket stoped to see the maps. There's an holographic map on the parking space. Also, they need to wait for Tul, to enter the area of ruins and ancient castles, monasteries, some still in use today, and the endless hotels starting here and ending northeast Tachize. That's what is shown on the holograms they're looking at.

They listen to a noise, and Borttom sees Tul, but he stoped.

Borttom then looks Takket, and his eyes are black. He knows what it is. Takket's having a vision, something he himself have had so many times.

Takket sees the nobleman they saved, saying what happened to someone else. Then, he sees himself and Borttom invading a mansion. There's a noble and his granddaughter they need to save, but all droids of defense are off, and he sees a number of combat situations with spirits. It seems the spirits are trying to kill the man and the girl. So, all images desapear, and he sees a meeting. Many noblemen are present. There's a dim light, and there's a woman smoking cigarretes on the corner. The nobles want to know how they know what's going to happen, and Takket and Tul decided to let that be explained by Borttom. Their group is five, but he can't see the other two, as they're just back of him, and in silence. It continues, to a terrible omen. He's wearing poor clothes, and fetters (grilhões) made of a strange pale white metal, with indigo symbols, from which comes the only light in there. He's tied in. A prisoner, with no chance of freedom, or hope in the future.

Then, he sees himself as on being at the right side of a throne. He's skin is black, with symbols on it, indigo, and he's holding a wondrous staff of power. It's made of a cristaline substance, and there's a blue jewelry on the top, his clothes are silk black.

    Music :: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ekPyC8DGQ-k

He senses his decisions define if one live or die.

The person (he can't see) sitted the throne emanates particles of darkness.

Borttom and Tul see a pearly aura around Takket's head and shoulders.

And then, Takket comes to himself.

    - You had a vision - says Borttom - I know how does it is like.
    - Yeah,... ohe - answer Takket, but his voice carry a different tone from the usual happy tone he's always used.

"Is this the future?", he thinks, confuse.

When Tul was to say something, hiw Pk made a sound (tut-tut) and he had to let the other two. "I have to come back, but I'll be back as soon as I can", he says. Borttom passes his Pk contact to him, and they see the korochi going the trees, from where he came before.

    - Get up the car, Takket. We're late - resumed Borttom.

(At the Ruins of the Mythic Era)

Along a main road, there stand a huge number of castles. Each and every one used in centuries of movies, for the media business. All usually hotels. The enormous number resembles Borttom of the Independent Ducat, a region northwards from Tanka, his place, a huge City State in central Tanahta. But in here, these castles are more of what expected in movies. They're all too old, although in very nice state, all rich in details, like in canvas, or the dreams you have when you dream too deep.

There's an airway in the west from there.

They feel the Inner Sea's maritmic breeze in the dark of the night.

Some time later, they enter a huge forest.

Here, the lights beside the road all end, and the night is only house to the headlights and the small car noise, like an annoying bug in that dark forest. Borttom notice he's really had no vision yet. This means he's on the right way, he knows it. He sees the enormous trees like they were going to get the car and crash it in small pieces, so as a very experienced bogling, he turns on the defense mechanics. Not to use, but to be safe. It's also becoming even darker than usual in the forest.

Not long later, they get beyond the dark forest.

    - We're here, capt'n,... - says Borttom, and he parks the small car.

At the end of the road, essentially.

Takket gets to the ground, and starts to look. It's a huge valley, and the small man gets off the car. They stay in silence, watching. There are no roads. No lights. Not a lonely house, or fire. They're on the entrance way, down to the southwest. There's possibly a way off, on the other side, through the valley and northeast. A mountain covered with eternal snow's on the north. A small village in ruins, on it's bank, and from there another valley, but only a smaller one.
There are maybe a hundred temple ruins, on the north of the calm lake.

Also, they sensed death from the ruins of a prison to the left, and goosebumps coming from every place they can put their eyes on it.

    - Unidentified life form located, range eight hundred normeasures - says the car.
    - Is it,... (Borttom calculates), on that ruins, of a village?
    - Precisely - answer the car.
    - Call a spirit, Takket. We need to talk with them, first, you know.
    - I'll do it, now.

Takket invoke a spirit, and a hyena appears. It's an orange skinned hyena, with white eyes, and it appears at the very moment he entered attune trance to talk.

    "Unusual,...", he thinks.

    - What is it, on that ruin of a village?
    - There's a smell, (answered the hyena), of ambar and iron. It's a female. Too much energy in here, and no true energy. I'm hungry.
    - How long is she in that place? - asked Takket.
    - Four hours (it's spirit speech, but the hyena's pretty clear in her voice).

Takket gave true energy to the spirit, and it answered thankful.

    - It's a child - and the spirit, ("A naemon?" thought Takket), was gone.

The wizard turned to talk with the small man, getting off the trance state, and looking to the direction of those village old buildings.

    - There's a smell of iron and ambar, and it's a child we're looking for, Borttom.
    - I knew it. Wait.

He turned his elektra powers and feels the ambient.

    - It's true. There's so much ionic particles in here, we could fire the place with a thought. Car, wait here. I'll be back as soon as I can. (the car assumed standbye). Let's go. - he says to Takket.

A few minutes later, they got to the ruins of a very old village.

There's not much more than it's foundations, a low wall here and there. A sense of old is present. It's dark, and Takket goes in the front, while Borttom waits. In the thirteenth wall, he listen to a little noise, and he looks for the person he's looking for. There is a small girl, undressed and squeezed in the corner, so he come closer, being careful not to act too fast, to talk with her.

She doesn't talk, so he takes off his coat to give the girl.

The small girl takes the coat, and dress the same way as he was using it, that is, just over herself, but soon she's again squeezed into a corner.

With care, Borttom comes trying not to make too much noise.

They listen to a noise in the other corner, and,...

VVvvvaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh,... - the girl attacked something in there.

It was a ratling, now totally toasted, by a frozen fire, of ambaric orange energy, and Borttom started to analyze what the hell was that.

Then, Takket feels her powers could kill them, in a blink of an eye.

    - Helo - says the wizard - I want to help you. This,... are you hungry? (but she didn't move). This,.. (he ask Borttom to give his "ration"),... Look. You eat this way. (and he shows how to unwrap the cereal bar, and eats, to make sure she sees him eating - and it worked).

Her move was so fast it almost hurt his hand.

She smells the bar, before eating. And she made a noise, as a "Hmm,...". They can't see her face, because she's wearing the travel coat over her head, but she ended eating, and went again to the same position, squeezed in that old ruin wall's cold corner. "Is it good? Do you want some more?", asked Takket, but she didn't looked to the food, they feel she's in complete shock, and so Borttom understood.

This girl was born in here, same way he was born. The same way a poltergeist is born, to become a bogling, just as a simple manifestation.

    - Helo. I'm Borttom - he comes closer - I know what you're feeling. I was born the same way you. I remember, as it were today. I'm here to help you.

Borttom makes silence, waiting, and it worked.

The girl so looked to him.

    (At the Korichi new village)

As soon as Tul got to the village, the oldest man was waiting.

    - What happened, oldest?
    - Have a sit - says him - We have a situation. The four youngsters you see (he pointed the corner), they experienced something unusual.
    - What happened, I want to talk with each one separatedly, oldest man.
    - Use my room, fixer - says the oldest.
    - You, - he points, heading the room - come first.

After talking with the youngsters, no one older than twelve, he concludes he must call his tribe oldest and master, because this is weird enough.

Tul told the youngsters to stay on the place, and called his master.

    Music :: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XnNxcEAgtRg

    - Yes - he listen to his master's voice.
    - Master, we have a situation. I'm on the settlement you've sent me to. There is,... there "was" a huge alignment today, and I'm investigating.
    - I know - says his master - What happened?
    - Four youngsters saw the nothingness. They felt they were in the spacetunnel, and they know the feeling, as they travelled the galaxy to come here. By their description, I can say they saw the very same thing. It's a crashed, I mean, a wrecked ship, in the nothingness.
    - That's good you called, Tul. I'll have to investigate this, and my seer just told me you'll call again today. Let the youngsters go home. The visions will, and so take much care, tonight.
    - Yes, master - and he ended the call.

When the youngsters went home, he says good night to the oldest man. He's waited, and by his master's voice, the other two may need him, immensely.

    (At the Old Ruins)

The young little girl looked Borttom.

Borttom and Takket just stay there, looking her and offering a cereal bar from time to time. She doesn't looks like speaking, and the small man considers the option she doesn't know how to speak. He knows. He was born in a very similar situation, long ago, in the world of Tanahta. He remembers he attacked everyone, until the oldest agent, who was called 5B, could explain to him he was safe.

So, carefully, Borttom says he'll make a fire, and says they'll camp to Takket.

Of course, the little girl squeezed by the vision of fire, but soon she was curious about it. The small man tries to explain the fire is hot, calling her.

She crawls to the fire, and tries to put her hand on it.

    - Oh-oh,... take care - says Borttom - The fire can burn. It's hot.

As he speaks this, she put her hand in the direction of the fire, feeling the heat, and so she pointed out in the oposite direction, and the ruin walls behind them freezed. A small crust of ice appeared in the walls, while she pointed that direction, and so she looked to the fire, again.

Takket frowned to the icy crust, and looked to Borttom, but decided not to talk.

"This is a tremendous power,...", thinks the wizard in silence.

Borttom's sure she knows they're not here to harm her, but then he remember Tul. The korochi will come, and he needs to talk to him before, not to frighten her.

    It could be really dangerous.

    - Takket - he says - Take much care. I need to go my car, and talk to Tul. What is this noise?
    - What noise? Yes, I can listen. It's coming from - and he looks - up.

Both look to the sky, and there's no star on the sky.

They see a huge cloud of black birds, covering the night up them. It's making a little noise, as their thousand wings flap in counterclock flight.

    - I'll be back in a minute, Takket.
    - Oke. I'm in here. Take care the way back, when Tul comes.
    - Right. I'll remember that.

Borttom waited before teleporting to the car.

Flying, inside a bubble of swarf, Tul noticed he hitted birds, so hitted many more birds, and so stoped. He looked the direction around the coordinates given by Borttom's Pk computer, and sees an immense cloud of birds, black birds, flying in circle, over a valley.

"Easy to find", the korochi thinks, and comes a bit more slowly now.

When he went down, just by Borttom's side, he sees the small man inside the car, looking for a number of diagrams and tables, and statistics on various screens.

    - What's happening?
    - Well, Tul. A girl just born eleven. She's with Takket, on those ruins by the fire. The place is full of ionic energy, so take care.
    - Who's she?
    - That's a good question. I think she was an effect from the alignment. I was born in a very similar way, and she's probably afraid of everything. I guess she's a psionic, and she's just awakening. You must know, as a psionic, the danger we're into, now.
    - Hmm,... Yes. She can blow everything.
    - Exactly - says Borttom.
    - She's with Takket, by that fire over there.
    - I'll call for help.
    - Do it. I'm not from this planet, and you probably know much more than me who to talk to.
    - I'll call my master.

Tul walked some ten normeasures, and explained the situation to his master. The elder says he'll sent help, and the man will be using black robes and a turban.

In the meantime, Takket was only trying to give her cereal bars, and stay calm.

Then, Tul comes to the ruin to talk with the little girl.

He tries to not make so much noise. Stoped on the entrance, until see she noticed him, and so walked to sit on Takket`s side.

    - Helo - he focused his mind to get read, and she looked him.

It`s not as telepathy, but it`s the most he can do.

    - Helo.

Her voice, in his mind, was so high and loud he almost fainted. Takket saw a small line of blood coming from Tul`s left ear, but decided to say nothing.

    - Don`t (he focused again),... don`t say anything more in my mind. Please. It,... hurts.

    The girl looked confuse.

    - I want you to know we`re here to help you. But don`t say anything, yet. I have to go, but I`ll come back.

So, the little girl looked to understand, and he stand up to go back the car.

Minutes later, Borttom and Tul listen to a sport car coming. It came through the dark forest, and stoped at a near distance.

The man leaves the car and come to talk.

At the same time, a ship stoped in mid air watching them. A military six boxes ship, but the man looked at the ship and started to talk.

    - Do you have open channel into you car?
    - Yes, I do - answers Borttom.
    - Open a channel with that ship over us - says the man.

Borttom did this, and the ship called back.

    - Leave this place, immediately - says the man - This is an Intelligence affair. I call the Protocol Eleven on your computer. Code Yellow. You must leave now.

Borttom didn't understood right away, but he saw on the screen the answer "Copy", and the ship started to move upwards, going away.

    - Situation? - asks the man to Tul.
    - A little girl. We think she was born by the alignment. She's a psionic. She's awakening. I have,... talked to her, but she has a tremendous power. I asked her not to talk in our minds, until you come. The valley`s full of ionic energy, so we must take care, or it may explode.
    - Let`s go. We need to calm her, until the awakening ends - says the man.

He`s probably a korochi, thinks Borttom.

    Music :: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iJ8366kq9mk

They came silently, but stoped by the entrance. She saw `em, and so they entered.

While the korochi talks with her, in telepathic bond, Borttom called Tul and Takket`s attention, so they let the man talk to the girl by the fire.

Outside the ruin, but still on the village, they talk.

    - What do you think, Borttom?
    - Well, Tul. She was born in the same way I was born. I understand her.
    - Your ear bled - commented Takket.
    - That was a "Helo". She doesn't know her power - concluded Tul.
    - I haven't had more visions. That means we're on the right direction in this all.
    - Well, Borttom. I sense you have more to say.
    - Yes, I do. Besides I having no more visions, this can mean the oposite side on the planet was the oposite of her, I mean, something surely happened on the other side.
    - Whatever it was, it has already happened - concluded Takket.
    - Yeah,... (Borttom sighed),...
    - You look deserted, by my affirmative.
    - Whatever the other side is,... (Borttom stoped, thinking),... it's her oposite.
    - Let's not talk too much about it, right now. Could we?
    - You're oke, Tul - says Takket.
    - I need to think. Shit. I need a piano, and there's no on ein in here.
    - You play the piano, Borttom? That's nice.
    - It's not, Takket. Believe me.
    - Takket.
    - Yeah, Tul?
    - Just come with me. Let's let Borttom think.
    - Oke.

Tul and Takket went to a walk.

The village ruins are on top of a hill, by the icy mountain, and there's another valley on the side, back of the other smaller mountain where they can see an ancient prison. They sense death coming from the prison. Tul levitated five small iron arrows, and sent in medium speed, but the arrows simply vanished when they entered the other valley, so he come to the conclusion this is not a way going there.

He stops to sense metals, and there's a medium size metal object down the end of the village.

Tul murmured "Come" to the wizard and they went that place. Coming there, the psionic started to take off the earth in there to bring the metal thing up. This could be used to protect them, in case she just explode everything, but then he looked to the object.

It's a metal coffin, locked with silver coffin nails.

He immediately started to dig, deeper, to put the coffin back there the fast he could. So, he put the earth all back, and looked to the wizard.

Their eyes agree it's better burried deep inside the earth.

Borttom concluded the ship came to see the exact same thing they came, but they came first. The little girl, as have said Agent 16B, is also maybe an efect of a mythology effect. He then came to the conclusion his visions will give a bit more, as soon anyone take a move, during the Event. He'll have to wait. Then, he goes to the fire, to stay by the girl's side, and meditate with no thoughts in mind. He remembers he saw in his visions a dubious image which could be an ikka, or an ejik girl. Both would be blame for the whole Event. There's also something about demonic things he couldn't see exactly what they'd be.

Minutes passed, and the korochi man then turned to Borttom.

    - Take care of her. I'll go my car, and come back.
    - Safe and sound, man - he replies.

The man soon was back, with a barbecue kit.

Takket started to like him, as every wanderer like people who gives them food. Soon, there was meat on the fire, and they were all together, waiting.

So, long minutes later, they all sensed her presence, and look to her.

    - Helo - she says, for the very first time.
    - That,... (starts Tul),.. is much better. Helo.

She starts to eat, and she likes the food much more, now.

And so, the black birds start to go away. None of 'em got down. They were like flying around, in counterclock direction, and soon only a few birds were seen.

Day started to come, and the little girl was just amazed by the dawn.

    - Now, (says the man in black robes and turban), I'll teach you how to dress yourself. I'll show you in my mind, so go to that corner back, please.

She took a bag with the clothes, but didn't move to that place he pointed. She just thrown the coat on the ground and dressed herself.

But then, she looked to the coat, and got it from the ground. She handed it back to the wizard.

    - Ohe. Thank you - says him.

Minutes were passing, and they stay in there, eating. At some point, she yawned and lay on the floor. The wizard took his coat off again, and put as a pillow to her, down her head.

    Music :: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U9ElMQqkeJg

They all sensed, at the same time.

All the danger was gone. The awakening ended.

    - Come here, you all - says the man, pointing outside and off the fire.

They all came to talk, now it's all safe.

    - Greetings. I'm Agent Aut, and I came here by a call Tul had made, to one of our elders. You did well, taking care of this little girl.
    - Nice to meet you. I'm agent Alppa, Tanahta's Regence - says Borttom.
    - I see. Now I understand. You're investigating the alignment so, probably, Alppa?
    - Ah,... the whole Event, basically. That's how I know Tul, and Takket, but you seem really prepared to anything, so what you think is the next step, Agent?
    - Well, Alppa. (he stoped to think). You're the closest thing she has as a family.
    - And that means?
    - That means the korochi race will provide you all we can. Do you have a quarters?
    - No. I've got to the planet just yesterday. Takket's a wanderer.
    - I'll arrange a small castle, here in the region of ruins. This will make her feel home, in a way. Are there anyone else with you?
    - I have only an immediate, on my ship - says Borttom, and Takket just shook his head.
    - Is she an ejik, Alppa?  - asked Aut.
    - Call me Borttom, please. No. She's not.
    - I'll give a defese droid, to the castle, and I'll chose an ejik psionic woman to help you all. She needs to learn the ejik culture, as she looks ejik. I'm sure she's not, but no one else will notice. I'll send a van here, and it will come in less than an hour. The van will take you to a safeplace, and then to the castle next, but you need to take much care, even if she looks to like you as her family. Do you understand?
    - Yeah - says Takket.
    - Yes, Agent - concluded Borttom - We'll be waiting.
    - And you, Tul. Explain basics on concentration, and how to calm her mind.
    - I'll do it - says the korochi psionic.
    - Is she a legend, Agent? - Borttom asked, and the agent stoped to think about that.
    - Probably, Borttom. And a gallactic legend.
    - That explains everything. Thank you.
    - I'll get back to you by tomorrow, at the safeplace castle.

That said, the Agent let them with the little girl.

So, they eat what's left, getting ready to go, and see beautiful nimbus clouds until the horizon.

An hour later, the van came and Tul was going to move her with telekineses to the van by the entrance of that valleys, but they listen to her voice.

It's a hiss. A language each of 'em didn't wanted to listen to, now.

She's talking while sleeping, in Snake language.

    (End of Session)

    Some Considerations necessary

Here ends the first part of this Story. The introduction part. The group gathered around the Event, but as they salved the duke on the unknown ritual he'd get killed, there's no certainty about what will happen next. Of course, they'll need some time to think.

Let's get now to other stories needed to understand all this.

Where do we Go now (#02-1)

    Helo, and welcome back.

    Adventure number #02-1.

This day of play runned on 02 July, 2011. I tried to let the players a bit more free than usually, as I like to let them explore the settings. Imagine what it would be if everything in our life happened in a couple of days, and that wouldn't make any sense; so, I let things follow their own ways. Anyway, this doesn't mean it's not fun. It is. The fun is exactly on having time to explore.

About the Music :: I do not intend any offence to anyone's right, and I do not really own the music I suggest my readers listen during the Story; the suggestion is in honour to the musicians who created those beautiful songs, and I explicitly want to thank you very much.

I hope you're enjoying your stay,...

(Resume of this Day of Play)

Borttom stared at the screen, on the car. There is a huge alignment on the sky. A star in the galaxy border, two planets in line, including Akkoya, the bigger orange star, a gas giant on the same system on the other side, and two other stars on the other side of the galaxy, they all form a straight line.

    - We'll have to think, (said Takket), whatever would happen in this alignment Has already happened. This doesn't mean the event was in here.

The shortman Borttom concentrated on his breathing. It's all hard in here. The tendence of Akkoya's native is always being stronger, for the planet is a bit bigger than a standard garden, so travellers must take care with a number of things.
    Breathing is the most important.

All numbers into this happening are about seven. When that happens, think Borttom, it usually is a portal, what means something changed place.
Something, someone or wharever it was, obviously went from a place to another, coming here, or going somewhere else.

The bar at the road was full of people outside, now that the lights came back.
Everybody was being interrogated by the police present, as a noble from the media was at the place, at the moment the bodies exploded inside out.

    No one was being arrested.

A special group of professional phenomenology were on their way, but in fact, the policemen were more special than those ratlings.

These men are from the Regence.

Once the commons were investigated, a young regent came to talk with the group. He's about seventeen, and totally ignored the others.
Although this regent is too young in appearance, the special agent knows he's probably the older, with a boys face, white, young haircut, and the black eyes of a hunter.

He came and spoke only to Borttom, in alphanumerics, the Regence code.

    - You're an agent. (that wasn't a question).
    - Agent Alppa, from Tanahta. You?
    - I'm Sixteen D. So, just on a travel, or you're on a mission?
    - I know your division, agent. (Borttom smiled). You're the clean-up-the-mess division, and I know now you're much older than your appearance says, for sure.
    - What (16D smiled) are you doing here, Alppa?
    - I like to follow Events, and I came here to see an Event. These two are with me.
    - There were echoes on the scene. Two are magical. It was a ritual, but I can't say what kind of ritual it was, and the Doctor will have to explain a few things before we come to a conclusion.
    - What the echoes? - asked Borttom, curious.
    - Invocation and trick. The invocation failed, because it was used as a trick. I know who did it, but I'll give you an advice, Alppa. To use invocation this way is really dangerous, and it was made wrong too.
    - I'll have that in mind, thank you.
    - What did you gathered, during all this, Alppa?
    - There is an alingment happening just now, and that is probably related to the unknown ritual.
    - Correct. This ritual is lost in time. I've never seen one like this before. It's probably a revival of Akkoya's mythology, and we can wait for trouble.
    - Hmm,....... so, it's a mythic thing,...
    - The Doctor is following the receptacle, (he looked on his Pk computer), but he lost track.
    - I have the motorbiker Pk. Blue me.
             (tut-tut).
    - Thank you very much, Alppa. This resumes what I had to say. I'll have that to the Dinasties as soon as I can, but,... I do not understand,... What kind of Event are you talking about?
    - I don't know, exactly, 16D. I'm just following the tracks.
    - Good. That's the emotion behind this all, isn't it? I have your Pk now, and I'll let you know about the investigation, but I can say in advance, it was a demonic ritual. It's a case for the Nekalimas. That's for sure. Be careful, til we know what's happening.
    - I'll have that in mind, thank you very much.
    - Ah, yes. This unknown ritual's probably a revival of the mythology, because Ryklanta's the region where the Academy of Magic, Politics and Power has grown, during the mythic era. Keep that in mind, and you'll probably find the Event, if it's somehow related to Ryklanta. Nice to meet you, Alppa. I've got work to do now, because the phenomenologists are coming.

Having said this all, the young agent nodded to the others, Tul and Takket, and leaves, giving the exact notion that he knows everything, in Borttom view.
And that Borttom's really a Regence agent, as he himself said.

Then, Borttom turned to them, truely calm.

    - They know everything, guys, but I have good news. The chances are now that you'll only get the blame for anything, in a chance of five percent. Yeah. You'll have to be completely idiotic to be a suspect, after what the agent told me right now.
    - So, what are we going to do now?
    - Wait, Tul. I have something more to say. Well, Takket. They know you've done an invocation, but that's not the wrong part of it. You've done it as it was a trick. It's dangerous. I hope you remember that, cause by the way it goes we're going to walk side by side.

Tul frowned on that, and resumed.

    Music :: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IjZfhFAYChA

    - You did what? You're saying you do magic but you don't know how to do it, and the problem is mine?
    - That's not it. It's just,...
    - Guys, (interrupted Borttom, quickly), this is not the problem.
    - And so what is it?
    - Yes, Tul. We gotta get out o' here. The phenomenologists are coming, and you know they're problem.
    - Agreed, now. - said Tul - But again, the problem is mine?
    - To make invocation as a trick is as safe as smoking Flux from a spacetunnel generator... Wait!

Borttom entered his small car, and used access to the Fleet starship navigation maping. "Wow! That is something good to know. (thought Tul) So, he has the map of the galaxy on the car? Huh,... Nice", he thought but stay quiet, only with a smile on his face.

    - I knew it! The end of the line, this starsystem in here, look. It's a mining ejik colony. They extract Flux from five planets on the system.
    - You have a starship navigation map on your car.
    - Yes, Takket. I do. The mining is a great corporation, as I saw on my visions. Look. It's an independent colony, but they're considered allies to the Alliance. They mine Flux from the planes to use on spacetunnel.
    - Flux is what keeps the planes under balance! (almost shout Takket) Are they mad doing this?
    - That's exactly what I said to the Energy Council, on Tanahta.

That system's five weeks by tunnel from Akkoya, and Borttom had goosebumps only thinking about that. No one would like to do that.

    - Look! This, look here, it means the corporation produce ten percent of what's produced on the galaxy, and the only "who" that would fall would be... mining corps, and... the Fleet of Defense. Wow! That's bad, now,...
    - You have all that info on your car, Borttom?
    - Ma brother's a capitain, Tul. This means I'll have to connect and let the Fleet knows.

That was a strange thing, and few would believe all that.

    - Did you really saw "us" in visions?
    - Yes, Tul. I know it's weird. You are the ones who will show me the Event. It's not the place to discuss this all anymore. Where do we go, now?

Takket looked to the mountains, and pointed a direction.

    - Here we go. Get up the car, you two.

Said so, Borttom headed the mountains and the others hang outside the car. Tul activates telekineses, to pass not for trepidation.
Some minutes later, they got to a belvedere.

(The Belvedere)

The place's called Belvedere North. There are more than twenty cars parked, a restaurant, and five bars, and you can see all the countryside area.
It's night still, and the night sky's clean.
Borttom used his calculation to predict which bar's probably trouble.
    And it's the sixth.

    - There's a hidden sixth bar, in here.
    - Are you sure, Borttom? - Tul's always direct, and Borttom just smiles and noded.

The wizard lost eyefocus, and didn't answer don't-know-what that Tul asked, to see a strange energy on the wall between bars one and two.
He gets off the trance state.

    - There's energy in that wall, and it's probably there.

The wizard goes to try to open the door, while the psionic just stay the same place, watching everything. The small man enters the car.
Time passes, and the wizard can't figure out how to enter.

Borttom manned to get a somewhat secure line with his brother.

He's on a watchroom, analyzing the alignment.

    - That's good to know you already know about the alignment, Muzille.
    - Yeah. How are things, Borttom? Be short, 'cause the line may has worms. I know about the alignment, yes, already.
    - The end point in line's a mining corp system, and I calculated the only ones who would lose anything would be the Fleet, so I decided to call you and tell.
    - Thanks.
    - Take care with flux suplies.
    - I located you. The blank point of the alignment is about two hundred kilomeasures from you, northeast. I can't calculate anything else.
    - Not a thing?
    - Maybe you should look for the oposite side of the planet, too. It's a line, isn't it?
    - Thanks. Take care.
    - You two.

With that information, Borttom disconnected the car.

Meanwhile, Tul got tired of looking the wizard trying to talk with the wall, and entered the bar one, which is called Watchtower Bar.
He immediately saw a korochi on a table.

When he got to the table, the two ejik stoped talking.

Tul simply got a chair and sitted.

    - Your friend?
    - Of course, Wergyl.
    - Nice to meet you - said Tul.
    - Nice, oka. - said the other.

The men stay in silence. It looks as they're talking about something important.

    - Wait for me, (said the korochi woman, with pretty lines), I'll go outside to smoke a cigarette.

She got up and showed the way to Tul.
Outside, she pulled a pack of cigarettes and lighted one.

    - Are you local? - asked Tul in koresh language.
    - Yes. Those are my co-workers. I work for the movie media corps. You?
    - A fixer.
    - Nice!

They stay in silence, for a while. That's the thing other races feel strange about korochi, it is that they can stay together for long moments in complete silence.

    - Your Pk - said the woman.
    (tut-tut)
    - Call me, anytime. I need to get back to the table.
    - I'll do it.

And the woman enters the bar again. He looks her back, on her way to the table. So, he got back to the scene notion needed, again.
Borttom got off the car, and he's going to talk with Takket.

    Then Tul comes, too.

    - He's on trance. Impossible to talk with him, now. - resumed Borttom.
    - What do we have, in here?
    - It's the other bar's entrance, for sure. But I sense a smell. It's necroforma.

Meanwhile, Takket listened to a voice.

    - What do you want?
    - Ah, yes. I was passing here, and I noticed there was one more bar in here, and I wish to enter. I'm a wanderer.
    - What do you want? - the voice asked again.
    - I wish to enter the bar.
    - It's private.
    - What's needed to get in?
    - An invitation.
Takket started to feel he'd never get that, but,...
    - These people are with you?
    - Yes. They're company,... I've met them today.
    - Well, it's still a private place.
    - This is the first nice place I find on this region.
    - I think it's better if you get off attune and talk with your company. They're on your side.
    - Hhm,... no bar, today?
    - It depends on the talk you have with your friends, now.

This way, the wizard came out of trance.

    - This is the entrance, but it's a private bar.
    - It's a nocturn's bar. Can't you sense the necroforma?
    - What?
    - You really call yourself a wizard, Takket?
    - Yeah. Well,... mostly.
    - Wait, you. I have something to do - and Tul got back to the Watchtower bar.
    - Wait, you too.

Borttom stay in front of the wall, and knocked it softly.

    - Yes? - said a voice.
    - You know what I am, and I have friends amongst you on my world. We're just looking for a nice place to go, and this is the best. I'm new on the planet.
    - We know. (the man's voice paused, before going on). You take care of your friend. He'll be your responsability while a visit in here.
    - Agreed.
    - Step back five normeasures.

Borttom and Takket steped the measures the voice said, and the wall started to open into an entrance door.

    - You watch your voice, see what?
    - I listened, Borttom. Oka, I'll keep that in mind.
    - They're nocturns, see? They're noble supernaturals, and you just don't want to mess with 'em.
    - Nocturns?
    - Yey, vampires, but don't call 'em that.
    - Oh. Right oka.

The walls are old greystone, and torches side the way down the stairway. Borttom starts to talk about the energies on the alignment, and Takket remembers it's all about seven. It looks like a catacomb, where there's some cold, even with no wind or windows.
It takes five levels of a square stairway to get there, and so they see.

A large saloon, like those of mythic taverns.

Torches make it part seen, and tables are made of hardwood. The bartender's right in front, so they go to him, to talk.

    - Good night. - cumplimented Borttom.
    - Welcome. Chose a table, and I'll be here if you need.

The man looked upwards, to the void, and murmured "Yes".

    - I'll have "this".... (he took a flower wine from the winecostume back him)... and it's no pay. It's a courtesy.
    - What is it?
    - Flower wine.
    - Yeah, I've heard of it, but it's too expensive back where I come from. Never tasted.

The cork off, it is a liquid that looks like water. Borttom drinks it, and lifted the glass to the void, the same direction the man had said yes to.
So, Borttom chose a table, but Takket was looking to the other side of the room.

A group of five men, obviously weird, with a sense of power coming from them, were playing cards. Takket loves games, so he went to see.

    Borttom frowned.

Suddenly, as it were a must-do-it, his attention was driven into the other direction. He sees a small person, maybe same size as himself, looking at him and lifting the glass.
    He did the same.

Then, he decides to go and talk.

Trying not to move too quick, 'cause he knows nocturns don't like it, he came to talk with this person, and the person pointed a chair.

    - Welcome. - he listens to a woman's voice.
    - Thank you, but that was really necessary? To call my attention like that?
    - Your friend is about talking with the players.
    - Is that forbidden? If...
    - No. No, I think it's not. It's just that the game is running for the last two hundred years, and there's not a rule for interruption. They'll be talking about it for a decade.
    - Right. Fun. I'm Borttom.

The person took off her hood, and it's an ikka woman, all white as usual, and so Borttom sensed the smell of her drink and thought he'd not drink that.

    - I'm Imá.
    - Nice to meet you. I wonder, I just need to make a question. What happens from two hundred kilomeasures from here? I need to go there.
    - Northeast? Ruins. Necropolis, most of 'em. From two hundred to a thousand kilomeasures.
    - I knew it.

    Takket was confuse.

It's a totally nonsense game. It uses dice, cards, coins, and counters. The players don't talk, most of the time, but then he could not hold himself, and started to look for a moment he would be able to ask, and sure the moment came.

    - I'm sorry for interrupting, but what are you playing?

They basically didn't understood. Not at the same time, but the one he questioned stoped, and the others all seemed to look at Takket's face as a complete stranger.

    Music :: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ogxfF9pByZc

Meanwhile, Tul got to the bar and touched the korochi woman using tantra. The woman immediately stoped talking, and asked to wait for her colleagues, so she stand up and followed him outside, they didn't talked, and went to the woods.

No other race understand the patterns of social interaction of korochi.

    They didn't talked.

They simply kissed, and from that on and on.

    - This game has a very long story, and we are playing for a long time.
    - No, no. (said the other). He's just an invitee, for tonight. Don't need to talk too much. The other's responsible, so there's no need to rush.
    - Ah. That, oka. We'll need to think about what you asked. Come back later.
    - I'll be very happy to know about it. Thank you, very much.

Having said that, Takket turned to go his table.

    - And you are,...?
    - I know you know what I am, but yes. You showed your face (he remembers her, from his visions; she's the ikka that will be accused for all the Event), and I'll show you mine.

    He turned off the hologram.

    - Nice, but your friend's coming.
    - What?
    - I noticed he doesn't know your race, so,... the hologram.
    - Ah, yeah. Right. He doesn't need to know this right now, you're right. (he turned on the gadget). I have to say something to you.
    - What?
    - I know you, from visions.
    - H'mn,...
    - You'll be unjustifiedly accused from things you didn't do.

He had not a way to say more than that. Saying she'd be accused of seven assassination, because she'd be the only person to gain with that. That wouldn't help to say.

On the woods, Takket used tantra to give her the strongest orgasm of her life, and so she fainted.
He waited for her to wake back.

Borttom stays in silence, while Takket goes to the bartender.

    - What do you have to eat?
    - What do you want?
    - I mean,... there's a menu, right?
    - What do you want? - the bartender's always repeating that (Is he a droid? he thinks), but it doesn't looks like having any menu.
    - Oka. So, I can tell you what I want?

He looked up, and said "Yes", and turned back to the wizard.

    - Yes.
    - I want something,... that doesn't exists anymore on common culture, for at least two thousand years.

He looked up, and murmured "Perfectly", and resumed.

    - You can wait at your table.
    - Thanks.

Takket got back to the table, and saw Borttom was talking to a person, in a hood.

The korochi woman woke up and dressed. She passed her right hand on Tul's face, and turned to go back to her daily talkings.
He hit her back, and she laughed while going to the bar.

Tul thought about her images, for korochi culture's mostly telepathic, and transmitted during sex. He knows now basically everyone at the cinema corps make sex with every other.
He keeps that to himself, and went to the wallbar.

As soon as he gets there, he listen to a voice.

    - You're waited. Step back five normeasures from the wall.

He did it, and the wall became a door, as those of ejik mythic dungeons.

    - Your friend is coming.

That made him get back to the place, for he and the ikka woman were in silence for some time. Borttom sees Tul coming at the stairway.

Borttom called the korochi, waving hands, and Tul sees Borttom calling his attention, and went to his table. He gets a chair, and sit.

    - Helo. I'm Tul.
    - Imá. - said the ikka woman.
    - I think I know your name, but that's lost in time.
    - Probably.

The korochi remembers some elder's memories about an ikka named Imá, but she's missing for the last two millennia.

    - I think we should go, now, Imá. It's a nice place you have here. I'll try to come back, when I have the time to do it, and thanks for the flower wine. It was delicious. Nice to meet you.
    - The pleasure is mine, Borttom. And thank you.
    - Good night. - risked Tul, for if it's the same ikka, she's at least two thousand years old.

The group gathers at the table with Takket, at the time the food comes.

It's meat, but it's like a tongue, Takket looks at it and sees it's blue. So, the bartender says "Blue tongue Hellhound's tongue. Here's the antidote", and the wizard could not believe.
The man hands him a small christal bottle, with an indigo blue substance inside.

    - I drink it before eating, or after?
    - Before, better.

The wizard drinks the antidote, and starts eating. Same time, he started to exhale sulfur, and smoke through his mouth, nose and ears.
He was completely happy while eating, ignoring the others.

It took some minutes eating, and the other two decided not to talk.

When he finished, he was happy as never before. He concluded the food makes you happy. They talked where to go now, and decided to go immedaitely to the old region of ruins.
They thank the bartender, who bawed, and they leave.

    - Get up the car, you two. - said the small man.
    - I'll meet you there. - answered the korochi, going somewhere alone.
    - I'll go with you, small man. Huh, do you care if I say that?
    - I don't, but don't say that to my brother. Let's go.

The autovias are mostly empty, and in one hour they come to the gatherplace.

At the first ruin, they park and waited for Tul.

The korochi came from back of a tree, noticed something strange were happening, and when he were ready to talk about it, his Pk phoned.

    - We have a problem at the village, and I think it's serious. Please, come back. (it was the elder, from the settlement Tul needed to help for the last weeks).

He turned to the other two.

    - They need me back. Go, and I'll get to you.

    (End of Session)

Who is this Imá nocturn? Does she looked impressed with Borttom saying she'd got blame for something she didn't do, or not? The white race expressions, the ikka race, always confuse the others.
It's not that they're cold. But they're cold of concentration, not to ever enter fury.

What are they going to find at the ruins?

I hope you're enjoying your stay,...
    and Stay Plugged.
