This is my adventure blog.
I'm Sol Cajueiro, and this is my House at Blogger. The session I needed to write this way in a two separated posts, beucause it was too long. It is a series of steps ahead, from the character who's captivating much attention from my friends and followers at Facebook, his name is Eryck. Well, Eryck's a young navigator ejik at the world of Kalakoktwe, a complex name to some races to pronounce, so the native calls their world as Akkoya as well. Just easier for everyone. I welcome you to read one more chapter. In this, Eryck just entered the wizarding world, three weeks after he was introduced to magic first time, and it immedaitely follows the second Session, Stay Late #01-2a.
So, be ready to read about Eryck's story.
About the Music :: I do not intend any offence to anyone's right, and I do not really own the music I suggest my readers listen during the Story; the suggestion is in honour to the musicians who created those beautiful songs, and I explicitly want to thank you very much.

I had to divide the Session in two posts, a and b.
The Heart (#01-2b)
At the Wizarding Tavern,...
As soon as Eryck and Byénc, following Doctor Taf, got to the gardens down the village, they entered the tavern, called Heugulyast, a word that doesn't ring a bell to Eryck. A beautiful attendant, dreassed in old mythic clothes, with a cord as a neckline, came. She says "Good night, Doctor. Have a table, please", and Taf guided the invitees to a table near the kitchen. There are three lines os tables, each side, east and west, and a stage where there should the last north and east table be, by the restrooms.
All painted red, white and silver, small brick walls separe tables.
- Beer - said Byenc to the attendant girl.
- Hmm,... Ice Whisky - says Eryck.
- Honey, please - says Taf - and we pay kotollon.
- What? - asked Eryck.
- It means "credit" in Trade - explained the white girl, sametone, seen Eryck's confusion.
- That's good! I'm gonna need this word, for sure.
The attendant girl frowned, but was gone to take the drinks soon.
- Yes, Eryck - says Taf - It's like this:
1 telluron = 1.000 kotollon
1 vala = 300 kotollon
1 gold = 12 kotollon, base to the low economy
1 oka credit = 2.4 kotollon, so ejik economy is base silver (two times)
1 silver = 1.2 kotollon
- But the value is calculated up to telluron, and not down to gold. Work and culture are important to trade, so this can change a bit each place, or empire - says the fauk.
- Doctor. Thanks, but,... is it,... I noticed there's a different person in here, but I'm not sure why. That ikka,... she looks different from everyone in here.
- Ohe,... - he replied.
The attendant girl came with the beverage, and Taf stoped her.
Doctor Taf talked with the girl in Trade, so Eryck could only guess what they were talking. The girl nodded, and went to talk with the ikka lady. She went the whole tavern in silence, and when came to her table, she put her hand into her heart on chest, and still stays in silence. The ikka looked to her. There was no talking. Moments later, the ejik witch cumplimented the ikka, and turned to come back, but went to the entrance of the tavern to reception another group of wizards and witches coming, all with backpacks. Loads of people have backpacks, Eryck notice. And then, the ikka lady got off her small barrel upside her table, put her right hand on her mouth, and let it on the sun chang alien on her table, who nodded, and walking slowly, came to talk with them.
- Good night, Doctor - says her soft voice, pretty sounding.
- Ohe, good night. This is Eryck - answered Taf.
- Helo - she says - Nice to meet you - and at this moment Byénc started to drink the beer in a rhithmic way, which called Eryck's attention, but not much.
- Ohe. Nice to meet you too - he answered, kindly.
- I'm Imá. Be welcome to
- Thank you, Imá. Well,... I noticed you look different from the other wizards,... and witches,... huh,...
- Huh,... Eryck's my invitee, tonight - hurried Taf.
- I see - says Imá - I'm different because I am a Vetalla, Eryck.
- Huh,... - he notice the doctor moves too much for a fauk, and started to think he do that to look more "ejik", like, he's living amongst ejikes, anyway.
- Eryck doesn't knew he's got a gift until soon, Imá - says Taf.
There was a moment of silence, but Eryck hurried to break the silence.
- I'm sorry. But my ignorance overcomes my knowledge.
- You can think this is all new, yes, but news get old very fast - Eryck remembered exactly, and this was the same answer his fellow Academy student Býl said to him.
- Huh,... thank you. I'm not sure I understand, but thank you.
- You will. Very soon - and Imá turned to Taf - Can you give me a cigarette, Doctor?
- Of course. Wait - Taf took a cigarette from the pocket pack, but lighted it oposed side from her, and so a cigarette for himself.
- Do you want to ask something? - Eryck was not sure it was a question from the ikka, now, but decided to give an answer, but he was not sure what to ask, exactly ("If only I had more time,...", he thinks).
- Huh,... mmm,... this is all new for me. I study starship navigation, and,... I like the sky (she noticed his skyboard, on his back). I only know I,... well,... I can "do" magic since two weeks ago, but I have a strong sensation there's so much I don't know, and I really need to (she closed her eyes) learn very fast.
He stoped, when she opened her eyes and they were total black. He got prepared to defend himself, for the ikka fury happens to them to kill everyone on sight.
But nothing happened.
- You need,... to listen to your inner voice. If you feel it, believe it - and she closed her eyes.
When she opened, they were light grey blue again.
- Good luck, Eryck. And nice to meet you - says the ikka lady, as a goodbye.
- Oke. Huh,... nice to meet you too, Imá - he replies, tense.
She nodded to Taf, who retributed, and went calmly back to her table, and to her barrel upside it. She made Eryck feel she's someone very important.
- I,... don't understand. Was she in fury,.. or not, doctor?
- She's a very special member of this community, Eryck, but I feel you have another question.
- I have to repeat it, but my ignorance overcomes my knowledge. What is a,... vetalla?
- She,... (Taf sighed),.. is a vampire.
- Oh,... - he imagined nothing to say about that.
Eryck's mind blowed. His state native, Abbas, is told to be the home to the noble vampires into mythology, so, he immediately imagined all which could be true of false about vampires. They all drink blood. Sun burns them, but they can endure it for some time. Cast no reflect. Can't cross running waters. They fabric illusions, but only if you feel they're close to you. They prey and hunt during full raýla moon times, and hate stupid questions. They can even attack if you sound too stupid, even if they friends you.
And most of all, they're predators.
- Have I said something bad to her, anyway? - he asked Taf.
- No. You were smart. And I think she liked you, when fury attacked her. But I didn't answered you. I'm sorry. The word vetalla is a word in her language, and it's a very important title.
Eryck swallowed, but feels a bit of relief.
- Vetalla means "elder", in the vampiric language.
The young navigator started to think. Here he is, at a wizard's and witch'es tavern, and all he imagined was the very history, even from his own origin, this all, comes to nothing. He doesn't know magic. He's unaware of History. The fact he can do magic is minimum, this way. He can feel an urgency. All the time. Since he received a letter, telling him not all people are bad. Well, this mean some are. So, he needs to understand history, more than magic, and the doctor was looking at him a bit curious.
- What?
- I have an idea - and he puts the right hand around his mouth - Table five.
They waited, until the attendant come.
- Yes, doctor? - says her.
- Do you,... have,.. "zenzen"? - asked the doctor.
- I,... (she swallowed).. well,... - and she looked up to nowhere, saying "Yes. Yes, of course", and says - Yes, doctor. We have it.
- I need a bottle, then.
Eryck didn't understood anything.
- What is it? A drink? She got strange when you asked - he questions.
- It's a special drink, and you'll drink it.
- Me?
- Yes.
The attendant comes from the kitchens, holding a very small bottle, maybe a 40 small liquimeasures bottle, like it was an explosive.
- Here it is - and she put the bottle on the table - It's two pieces.
The fauk took two dark grey coins from a small bag, and gave to the girl. She went away, giving the sensation this is something a lot unusual to see.
Then, Eryck took the bottle, opened, and drunk.
A few moments later, everything was changing colours, and blur came. It was like a mist, a fog, was in there, and things became strange. He sees a number of spirits in there. The torches become slow, and he could see like small creatures of fire on top of them, like, dancing. He looked immediately to the vetalla, but she gives the sensation that she's perfectly normal, what's really strange, 'cause no one in here seems normal. They all have symbols, on their clothes, bags, and everything. A man on the exact near table has a strange tattoo on the back of his left hand, which gives the imense notion to be something negative, of mean. All the young people have vivid aura, and that comes in degrees of more pale and organized through the older, and Eryck tries to say that to Taf, but he only rised his hand in response, and then he sees.
A small creature, a bogling, pale and spiritual, poke the leg of a man. Then, the man scratched his leg, and he knew it was not a halucination this way.
He lost count of time, but he's pretty sure time is a happening.
Eryck sees a wrist clock on the doctor's left pulse, and he understood now why he always look to his pulse, when he says anything about time.
It's there. There is a clock, really.
And so, it all passed. He sighed, and says "Wow,...", really impressed this way.
- What is it?
- It's called zenzen. It's an Apu drink.
- I don't know much about 'em - says Eryck recovering himself.
- The apuka not only think normal alchohol isn't fun, as they worked a lot to make a drink which is 106 percent alchoholic.
- It would be poison to an ikka,... (Eryck noticed, in a murmur).
- Yes. You know, commons think this drink gives halucinations, but they're real.
- I know. There was a bogling, which poked that man's leg, and so he scratched his leg. This was the moment I thought it's real. And Byénc,... I noticed she's drinking in a rhithmic way, together with the torches, and the small creatures dancing up the torches. I know. It's real. What is it?
- This the apu explains - says Taf - The apuka are tough against magic, and they thought of a way to enter attune state easily. This, zenzen, is their idea of drinking.
- It tastes like hell - says the skeighta.
- And,... it is,.. pretty much,.. like Hell. Really. Yes, I'm talking serious. It's bitter like Hell.
- What happens?
- Hmm,... It makes you see beyond the Veil, Eryck. That's it.
- The Veil? You mean, like, lifting the Veil?
- No. You can't lift the Veil. What we usually see IS the Veil. The face we can see, after the Veil, is the Real. It's a plane, the same as the Standard.
- Standard?
- I,... The Standard is the very plane you come to, when entering a planet with a ship.
- Oh,.. that I understood. Well.
- All other planes are layers added to a Standard, and each place has different formation for their planes, so you can always navigate throught the planes using tridimensional Standard coordinates. I'm telling you this, because I think this would be important to you.
- And it is - says Eryck.
A man stoped by their table, tough and his eyes show intelligence.
- Ohe - says Taf - Mayor Kyf.
- Good night, Doctor - says the mayor.
- This is Eryck. Eryck, this is Kyf, our village administrator mayor.
- Nice to meet you, Eryck.
- Nice to meet you too, mayor.
- How's Olorin? - he turned to Taf.
- Everything's great, Kyf. Thank you, very much.
- You take care. Good night - says the man.
- Thank you - answered the fauk.
The mayor went to talk with more people, and some people were paying to leave.
- You see, Eryck? I've said I had to show you this place.
- Yes, Taf. It's amazing. I never imagined being in a place like this. And now I know much more than I did, before coming here.
- I thought you'd like - says Taf.
- It's,... like - he could not translate his feelings.
And so, this feelings happened to be followed by a sensation, that someone's behind him, this very moment. A person who was looking at him.
When Eryck looked, he saw the maximum of ejik beauty.
The girl looked them all, waiting, and so Doctor Taf looked and smiled.
- Hi, doctor - and her voice is also very beautiful.
- Ohe. Hi. How long - answered Taf.
- Can I sit with you? I mean,...
- Of course - and she sitted by the doctor's side, in silence, but her eyes and Eryck's meet quickly, and he noticed she seems a bit shy.
- Ohe, sure - says Taf - Eryck, this is Bykkatar.
- Nice to meet you - he said.
- Nice to meet you too. I,... just,.. Are you a skeighta?
- Yes. My life is linked to the skies - he says, and she made silence, sly looking to the table and glasses.
Bykkatar looks like a fae, from the mythology, thinks Eryck.
- Wait. I need a beer. Doctor,...
- Of course, Eryck - he puts the hand on the side of his mouth - Beer. Table five.
- I like flying - says Bykkatar, and that surprised Eryck.
- You fly? - and the attendant came with his beer mug, a one measure mug. He drinks, and it's the most precious beer he ever tasted his life.
- Of course. Everyone does, isn't it? I mean, like this - and she levitated her mug, softly.
- Ohe. Sure - says Eryck - So,... what do you do?
- I make beer.
- This beer? It's amazing. Best beer I ever tasted. Serious.
- Of course, I could do potions too. But I earn coins in the number, and components are too expensive.
- Components? - questioned Eryck, in doubt, because something said to him they're not something usual, as everything else in this place.
- You know. Fungus, conduit and telluron - says she.
- Of course (he had no idea what they were). Well, I,... don't know - and the doctor moved his hand to show she have to explain, basically as an ejik would do ("He's amazing", the young navigator thought).
- Well,... - she started - Life, spirit and matter.
- And? - he's kinda lost.
- Precisely, Eryck - says Taf, and again Eryck feels everyone read minds.
- And you? What do you do?
- I study Starship Navigation - he responded, trying to look her eyes.
- Ohe. Space - says Bykkatar, with deep voice - I'm affraid of space, you know. The creatures,...
- I,... I'm not sure I understand - he forwned.
- Ah, you know. Poltergeists.
- Poltergeists? Like boglings? I know what it is.
- Yeah, but, in space,... they're huge, and they're dangerous. You know. Space in all full of life, and that creates the White, with, you know, the subparticles of existance, who comes down on the White. But that creates other life, and all the supernaturals.
- Of course,... - he knew absolutly nothing about it.
They stay in silence once more. Taf was observing Byenc, drinking in a rhithmic way, almost annoying, and repeating the same move all the time.
- Have you ever seen up the clouds, Bykkatar?
- No - she says - No, Eryck.
- You know. Beauty in nature is a way we can come closer to paradise - he says finally capturing her eyes, and she blushed, looked to Byénc, and back to him.
- We have all three paradises, here at Akkoya. That's pretty rare, you know. Besides that, our planes are just fine, safe and sound, or,... at least if you don't need to go the Oblivion.
- Of course. Well, I'll take you up there, one day.
- Huh,... of course. Taf, I need to go - she turned to the fauk, suddenly.
- Your explanations got to a higher level, Bykkatar - says Taf - If you have any question on plannar biology, or if I can help you with ecology, let me know.
- Of course, doctor. I could save kotollon to make potion as a life, and get rich - she smiled, and her smile is more than her abnormal beauty, it exceeds expectations.
- That's a nice plan, Bykkatar.
- Do you really don't know nothing about magic? - she asked, abruptly.
- Well,.. I can do this - and he concentrated to create a small mass of winds between hands, and the girl looked a way he could not say what she could be thinking.
- Huh,... nice. Nice to meet you, Eryck.
- Mine pleasure, Bykkatar.
- See you, Byénc. And have a nice memory call - says Bykkatar.
- I,... (Byénc stoped), sure. See you - and got back to the rhithmic drinking again.
Her eyes were trying to find a way to say anything, but she just went back to the kitchens, and Eryck was following her moves in his mind, as he's sitted back to the exact direction to the kitchens.
- I think it's time to go, Eryck. Byénc?
- Oka. I'll end this, so - and she drunk the rest of her last mug, at once.
- Just curious, Byénc, but,... what are you doing?
- This, Eryck? I erase my memory, each time I drink. So, I have the very first sip again and again.
- Waw. That would be incredible. And now, you'll understand what we were talking? I mean, you'll remember all we talk in here?
- Exactly. And now, I'll remember all these first sips at once. Wait.
Music :: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-CCjFelrCfg
And so, she bacame herself, again, as ever.
Taf activated his Pk computer, to pay the bill, and they stand up to go. The corridor shows a number of symbols Eryck know are probably their family symbols, of to indicate magic. He imagined some would be about hidding this place, and that's a nice guess, but he can't grant.
(The Heart of the Forest)
When leaving, walking through the corridor, Eryck's attention was capted by the mug, in a table. It's the second table, from the entrance. Taf was talking happy with Byénc, saying he'll try that one of these days, and he'll need her to complete that task. The man on the table's turned to his friend, and his friend face was frowned, like when you listen to something strange for the first time. Then, the mug simply moved slowly, and fell. The entrance attendant immedaitely took a piece of wood, at the same time they stoped because it fell just when they'd pass, and with that piece of wood the girl reunited the mug again, levitating it entire again to it's place.
The man saw it all, ignore, and keep the talking.
- And so, the common looked at me and said, he was completely drunk: "But I remember that, and it happened when you were sixteen, and you had that Diary". No way. There's no way he could know about my diary! He was, I mean, I used everything I know. And I'm sure he's a common.
- Your mug fell alone, Mal-ec - says Eryck.
The man looked, but that doesn't meant much to him.
Eryck looks to Taf, and the doctor lose all his theater of being an ejik. He's imobile, almost not breathing, and his face turned to the face Eryck recognize from Protocol studies, at the Academy. Eryck was sure this all was just a theater, and now he's certain.
They walked, and the tavern immersed into a deep reality, with the distortion so characteristic.
- That was weird - says Eryck.
- Certainly - agree Taf - Let's not talk the way home. Byénc, you know what to do.
So, the way home was made in silence.
When they got to the mushroom forest, Eryck sensed something. The mushrooms were paying attention the them, somehow. He says it to the others, in a low voice, adding "If I had a weapon, I would draw it now". Taf says the trees are in silence, and Eryck saw he moving his hand in mid air, so a staf appeared on his left hand. The fauk so hold the staf and hit the ground saying "Anchor", then a transparent energy emanated from the place of origin, and went every direction. Eryck jumped over his skyboard, and said "Don't worry with me". Time was passing, and nothing happened until Taf say "This is dangerous. There's someone in here". Eryck responded "Let's go home. You need to be home, you know", and the fauk replied "No. There's something I can do". So, Doctor Taf holds his magic item in the air, and says in alloud as an order "In the name of Ambar, show yourself!", and when he hitted the gournd softly, there were waves of amber orange energies going in all directions.
Music :: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JCtgTpxgwjc
It hitted something, which started to fight the orange energy.
From a hand off the ground, til a 1.90 normeasure, it assumed a form of a face. Unejike. Weird, and aggressive, with a sensation of power and damnation coming from it.
It says: "Tacke!", and this all ended abruptly.
- He's still here - says Taf - No. The trees are saying he's not here anymore.
- I have a strange feeling I was in spacetunnel - says Eryck.
- We need to go the Heart - concluded the fauk, solemny - Byénc, can you see something?
- It had no mind, for me. I'll keep the guard.
- Let's go - called Taf.
More than fourty minutes later, they got to a strange part of the forest. In here, trees are high, like fifty normeasures, and they all looks like watching you.
There are roots on the ground, all coming from the same direction.
And so, they come to an enormous tree. The roots come from it. Taf made a hand move, to say they need to stay behind, and started to speak in tree sounds, like clicks and branches moves, new clicks, wind passing through the branches, and so, the tree responded the same way. It took several minutes to that all happen. Eryck know this is a very old tree, maybe a thousand years old. It's obvious. When the fauk finished, he called them back, and they sitted on the roots, nearby the oldest tree.
- He doesn't know which entity was that - Taf started - But I'm sure it was hidding from the Oldest. This mean the entity knows advanced tree knowledge.
- I think I was the target.
- Why do you think that, Eryck?
- Well, doctor. I have the feeling of spacetunnel yet.
- We need to see your memory - says the fauk.
- I agree with that.
- This magic is a really advanced magic, Eryck, and it gives you strange knowledge. What I'll do is called Veil of the Mind, and it's a bit dangerous.
- We have no other options, doctor.
- Well, then. Byénc, protect us while we see it.
Music :: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YeHi6Zpkcik
They see a huge number of ships.
All destroied.
The young navigator sees ships from many races. Even a zyt destroyer, in pieces. Two apuka large carriers, a mothership ejike, with thousands of fighters, all in pieces. There's a rakma pyramid templeship, which usually moves on the subspace, and a huge number of small fleets, from more than twenty races.
Each and every one, in pieces.
Then, the image was gone, and Eryck came back to his body, standing.
- This is unbelievable - says the young navigator.
- I've seen ships I never saw before, and I've travelled many places as an ecologist for the Trade Network. This is a message, for us.
- I think I've been followed. I can sense. Someone's always wathcing me.
- It's not you - says Byenc - It could be a message to the Academy. You cannot empty your mind. So, this everyone will get from you.
- I need to learn to empty my mind.
- I've said to you, jump to meditation in you databank - says Byenc.
- She's right, Eryck.
- I think I need to learn it all fast. Isn't that a way?
- I'm afraid not, Eryck - says his deep alien voice - Your reenrollment must happen soon, and you must know this Academy's tough.
- What can I do til then?
- I think you should come to Heugulyast village every time you can. This is a passage into the way of pilgrims, who travel the ways of the mythic eras. And you're welcome.
- I'll do it.
- It happens Byenc is right. We have been fooled, by someone wanting to send a message to the Academy, and we're not being followed.
- But,... how comes it? It looks everyone read minds, in this world.
- It's no true, Eryck. Byénc can read minds, because she's a psionic, and I'm pretty sure she know the dangers behind the gift.
- What?
- I,... - started Byénc, but Taf interfered.
- Psionics explode when they awaken their deep mind.
- I killed my whole family,... - her voice was full of emotions, this time - I didn't know, Eryck. No psionic came to me, in time to teach me.
- I didn't know that. I'm sorry.
- Then, I fled. I fled coming after a vision. I was at the Darkness. The Academy thinks, and everyone, that Drakness is only an attribute, an energy. It's not. I've been there.
- And so? What, now?
- I know a place where Darkness exist, and it is in your Academy.
- Ohe,.....
- I can't let you know this. Can I erase that from your memory?
- Yes, please - and he just know she fled.
- Whoever was that entity, it wanted to shake the Academy, and you're just in time. They all will read that, and there will be a mess - says Taf.
- What can we do, now?
- It's a fish bait, and I'm pretty sure the Academy will bite the hook. We have already done what we can do, and this will be seen, very probably.
- I think we should go now, doctor - resumed Byénc.
- That,... is wise - Taf completed.
Doctor Taf shown the way, with a hand move.
Then, they walked in silence through the forest. Taf entered home and clapped his hands once. Sometime later, Eryck and Byènc were at the tatame, at the second floor, but she arranged to sleep over the skyboard, with pillow and a white blank. He imitated her.
Starting to think who would be on guard, he listen to the forest.
He knows those clicks and tree noises mean the forest is watching, and so he thinks this is one of the very few moments he'll be safe. It's a safepoint. There is no sure or certainty about the future. He keeps the images of those wrecked fleets on his mind. Who would do that? More. Who could do that? To ships considered unmatched, like rakma, apuka and ly'ène destroyers? The images melted into dreams. He dreams with forests, mushrooms, and strange races of the forest. None of them care about destroyers.
(End of Session)

Is this true? Or fake?
