Helo, and welcome.
This is my House at Blogger.
I'm Sol Cajueiro, and this is my adventure blog. The session I'll write this way is a series of steps ahead, from the character who's captivating much attention from my friends and followers at Facebook, his name is Eryck. Well, Eryck's a young adult ejik at the world of Kalakoktwe, a complex name to some races to pronounce, so the native calls their world as Akkoya as well. Just easier for everyone. I welcome you to read one more chapter. In this, Eryck is confronted with the world, words and worries he didn't know existed, before he was introduced to magic, and it immedaitely follows the second Session, Some Talking #01-1.
So, be ready to read about Eryck's story.
About the Music :: I do not intend any offence to anyone's right, and I do not really own the music I suggest my readers listen during the Story; the suggestion is in honour to the musicians who created those beautiful songs, and I explicitly want to thank you very much.

I had to divide the Session in two posts, a and b.
Stay Late (#01-2a)
After some talking, up the clouds on west Ryklant, Eryck follows his friend the white girl Byènc, first down the clouds, and then west.
Ryklant is a huge city, with millions inhabitants. The westside is a huge 200 kilomeasures long area, in which machinery and worker droids take care of farms, each and every one planned by the Academy of Ryklant, to produce and sustain the city with ora grains, and fresh vegetables. They see huge worker droids from up, and the farms all somewhat draw geometrical lines on the ground.
Eryck's just following Byénc, in silence.
One hour later, she starts to get down, to what seems to be a small village. There is a forest, a very old castle, a village surrounded by walls. There is a square with five statues on the southwest part, and Eryck sees huge mushrooms covered with wire structures, when they finally start to approach the forest. This is a beautiful forest, in which the giant fungiform life gathers with trees natural to the northwest.
Then, a camera starts to follow 'em, until be in the same speed.
- Ohe, Byènc! How nice to see you. Come to the forest. I'm down to my labs.
Eryck notice the voice is really strange, and much deeper than normal, but when he entered the forest, his mind was driven away from that. He started to see symbols, everywhere. Symbols, like holograms, upside the trees and the mushroom forest, on the side of a structure, most geometrical. When they came to the "labs", he sees a man in a silk costume, who then looks at them.
He's a fauk.
- Ohe, Byénc. Be welcome - he speaks, with his alien arborean deep and vibrant voice.
The fauk cumplimented her, and looked to Eryck. The girl did nothing to introduce them, and Eryck thought she could make a basic effort to become a bit more social, but well, he knows she's terrible with socializing. There was a moment of silence, strange.
Ercyk notice his wooden appearance. Small leaves on his head, and his eyes which he knows, one thing he learnt at the Academy, are a deep emerald green series of membranes which gives them the ability to total awareness, or in other words, fauk look at everything at the same time. He notice too that the fauk uses a very light cloth, which is probably made of silking, but he uses a belt. Well, two. One by the hip, one by the torso. With loads of small and really weird silvery equipments. He never meet a fauk his whole life, but so he forces trying to remember things from the Protocol classes, he can't count much information on this race, and so the silence started to become somewhat stressing, besides the fact the man is a stranger, an alien.
- Helo, Doctor Taf. This is Eryck - she said, grudgingly.
- Ohe, helo Eryck. Nice to meet you - the fauk says, shaking hands with Eryck, and he noticed the alien moves too much, for a fauk, basically like an ejik would do.
- Helo, Doctor. Same to you - Eryck replies, with a smile.
- What brings you here? - the doctor asked Byenc, but she didn't replied.
- I don't know, Doctor, so don't ask me - said Eryck.
- He's learning magic - the girl's voice is sametone as usual.
- Oke,... I see,... well, come in - invited the fauk, and they entered the hut; Eryck sensed something strange at the very time he entered, and saw many symbols, all geometric the same as the symbols he see on the mushroom forest, just around them.
- Well,...
- You,... (the fauk noticed he's looking at the symbols), they're magical. Symbolic universals, basically. Oka. Tell me your story, Eryck.
- There's not much I can say - and he told everything about seeing the man killing the old lady on the upper appartment, the "monster eye spectre" and waking dressed to go the Academy (Ohe! The Academy? - surprised the fauk), and the following attempt to erase his mind, and all.
- I see - commented the fauk, and he took a cigarette and lighted it with magic.
- I think it was an agent of shadow.
- No,... I don't think so, Byénc. What may happen is,... it was a Doppelgangger.
- A Dop-what? - asked Eryck, moving his head ahead.
- A doppelgangger, Eryck. They're transmorphians, and a very rare supernatural. You were lucky to see one, 'cause most people can't during a lifetime.
- You're saying I was lucky? He tried to kill me.
- He was going to erase his memory - says Byénc in sametone.
- Yeah. That - Eryck was kinda nervous - Look. I don't know anything about this, at all.
- But you will. How comes you're at the Academy?
- I'm studying Starship Navigation.
- I see,... you're not inscripted,... but you will. It all depends on your reenrollment, and this will probably be very soon, so don't worry.
- Well, Doctor. (Eryck sighed). I'm not sure I want to study magic.
- I see,... (he notice the ejik was looking at the magic symbols). What's your gift?
- Elementalist - says Byénc, sametone again.
- Ohe! This is a rare gift. You should be proud of it, Eryck.
- Dunn'know 'bout what to be proud.
- Why?

- Well, Doctor Taf. I just woke, one day, with someone trying to kill me, oka, right, trying to erase my memory, and I was in mid air in a kind of wind hurricane and my room was a mess. I had to move on. And I received a letter! You know? A letter, a paper letter? Do you know Olýka the seer? (he waited, but the fauk didn't look to know her, so he continued). She said in that "Not all people are mean, and not everyone wants to harm you". Do you know what? I think I have no choice. I have the feeling someone is watching me. All the time.
- Huh,... (the fauk sighed). You seem pretty frustrated.
- I am.
- But you don´t have to be, Eryck - says the Doctor, very calm - You were a common. There are laws to protect the commons. They are the very stable mass of the universe.
- See why? Now I feel better. Now that I'm not a common anymore. I feel better. You're saying now I can get killed, because law doesn't protects me anymore.
- People of power make alliances very fast. The doppel won't come after you. How was your neighbor, after you looked again?
- Just fine.
- You're not remembering it well. Do you want me to remember you?
- Yes, Byénc - and then he saw it all again - Oha,... key. She was dressed in black, for a funeral, and there were two small girl putting everything into boxes. I guess she was moving on, so.
- It was not her, Eryck - resumed Doctor Taf - It was a doppelgangger, who stole her appearace, her money, and her life.
- See what? Now I can sleep peacefully with that.
- The awakening is a strong magic moment, and you were probably being watched. How long did you know about him, Byénc?
- Two days.
- What? You were following me?
- I saw you aura. It was deep green, and magenta on the left.
- Now you see aura?
- Exactly - Byénc wasn't making sense to him.
- What you mean, exactly?
- I think I can explain, Eryck - said the deep alien voice of Doctor Taf - You were manifesting magic. This is how she noticed you. But, wait. (he put his right hand around his mouth, to say this) - Yes. I have guests. Please make caoffee to us, and food. Yes. We'll be right there. (and looked Eryck, again) - Let's go my house. Olorin is waiting. You're just confuse, Eryck, and this time will surely cure.
- You're,... a biologist? - questioned Eryck, trying to change subject.
- Yes. I'm here for the last two hundred years, studying these mushrooms. They're really special.
- Wow - he had nothing to reply to that.
- I'm sorry. Well, I'm not used to talk about this all in this language. A common would understand.
- You see? This is all weird - replied Eryck.
- Let's go. Olorin's waiting - so Doctor Taf simply snaped his fingers and every magic equipment in there closed, or assumed standby, unless a small dome with a lone mushroom inside, but the fauk noticed his attention to that and decided to comment - You'll get use to it. Let's go.
They walked a brick way, and mushrooms, together with the pine trees from the northwest, all around a beautiful arranged and organized path.

When they got to the house, Eryck noticed it was made over an old ruin. Probably a very old ruin, now his house, and it was made of hard stone with very ejik roof and an expansion to the right and it has a garden inside. He stoped as the doctor stoped. Doctor Taf stoped in midway, in the moment of not outside and not inside yet, waiting for something Ercyk didn't know what it is. He notice the plants are not from this world. There are some plants orange, normal green, some white, other blue, and so they moved.
Eryck sees two young fauk kids he coundn't notice were there before. They were completely melted with the strange garden, immobile, until their father finds 'em.
The two children came to hug their father.
- Ouré la. Kók. Olorin né beri meridon, na momuride ni gerésse mó - said Doctor Taf to his children.
They waited for the children gat back to the garden, and entered.
- Was it fauk language, Byénc? - murmured Eryck.
- Fauk's one of the five languages to give birth to the Trade langi.
- Ohe,... interesting - he replied, in sutle admiration.
The went to another ambient, more comfortable. A somewhat living room. A fauk woman was in there, sitting on a bank and waiting for them.
- This is Olorin, Eryck. He's a friend of Byénc, Olorin.
- Nice to meet you, Eryck - she shook hands with him, and say "Hallo, Byénc" to the white girl, and so they sitted to eat, but Eryck looked to the food, waiting.
- Ah. It's fauk food, Eryck. Look - says Olorin - This is good. You'll probably like it - and she put the paste on a piece of bread, giving it to him - I,... don't think you'll understand what it is.
- No. No problem. It's delicious - says Eryck in response.
They eat and talk, and Doctor Taf explained a bit of the food, to add "And by the way, it's like a feast to us. Fauk only need to eat once a week, Eryck". The talk was soft. No stress. It was night, already, when they got to end talking and eating and talking about weather, or mushrooms, which are Doctor Taf's main subject. It looks like he's in here to study these mushrooms because of some special thing about it, but Eryck didn't understood well what it was, a thing about fungus, but anyway, he was feeling well, forgetting all that worries him.
It came a moment Doctor Taf thanks his wife, and took 'em upstairs.
Sure, the house has not a second floor seen from outside, but the Doctor walked into a long corridor, to an end into the very forest, and it's already night.
The veranda's not linked to the ground, sees Eryck.
- I came here to show you this. See - and he clapped hands.
Suddenly, all mushrooms heated, and lighted, with an orange glow which illuminates the forest. Eryck mouthed a brief "Wow,...", and Taf did it again. Eryck tried to high his voice to what only the closer fungi heated and lighted, but in different aspects.
- It would be amazing like, if, a choral sings near them,...
- Yes, Eryck. Well, Byénc. Are you planning to stay late, or go back today?
- I think we should stay.
- I don't want to bother you, Doctor - says Eryck.
- No, Eryck. You're welcome. I think there's a place I need to show you. You'll like it. I need some honey, anyway, and we should go now.
(The wizarding Tavern)
- I guess I can positively explain that, Eryck - says Doctor Taf.
- If you please, 'cause I dunno what that's all about. No clue, no blue. That's it.
- Her's are powers, yours are magic. (says the fauk). There's huge difference between power and magic, and by what I can say, you're a wizard. Magic is deeply the reason behind the universe, and on the oposite side, power do the same for an individual.
- Owe,... That explains why she can't never explain me anything - says Eryck.
- I do. But I think you better learn with wizards than me. I see the deep inside. You'll never do it - Byénc sounded a bit stressed.
- Like,... you read minds? - questioned Eryck in doubt.
- No, Eryck - says Taf - The powers define much more someone than magic. You should be thankful. She's doing it the right way.
- I am - says the young navigator.
- You say that too much - commented Taf - There's a lot to learn, before you understand the vices of language you use, but I agree with Byénc. You should ignore much of the databank, and go straightly to meditation, if you're so aware that people can see what you think.
- Yeah,... there isn't a faster way to learn that?
- Hmm,... I'm afraid not, Eryck.

The village is marked by a huge number of symbols, and the gardens all show them. Doctor Taf explains Eryck those are family symbols. Most wizards are families, old families, binded to magic since the mythic Era, so symbols become their trademarks, landmarks and the like. The symbolic universals are used everywhere, and so a wizard may feel home even out galaxy. That doesn't happen to mages. And well, mages are probably much more organized, probably much more theorical, and adepts my use different magic. So, but so different from wizards, the very concept of what is magic, and not only how to do it, may affect the way it's made, understood and tought, for a mage, and the fact you (Eryck) are on the Academy makes you are in between, together with the fact you didn't know much until you get of age, as the ejike races become of age very soon.
- Ejike races? You mean,... race? - asked Eryck.
- No, Eryck. I don't know how many ejik races exactly exist, but I know seventeen, maybe. Yes. I think there are seventeen ejik races catalogued.
Up the hill, there's a castle. It looks very old. Roads are stone. There are trees everywhere, and the wind passes throught the trees making noise. The central square has five statues, but they're not going there. The group went down north, in the direction of the gardens, which Eryck could see from up the hills they were arranged by the same way houses are built. There are parts not connected to the ground. And symbols everywhere, not lighted, but like they were made of mist, immaterial, but still visible.
- Now that explains why Byénc said she can't see the symbols - says Eryck.
- Yes. Probably, the magic which grant wizards to see those symbols is the very aptitude needed, but I'm sure she can do it in attune state.
- I can't, Doctor - says she.
- Attune state?
- Remember the state you entered by that first village I've shown you - replied Byénc.
- Ohe,... you've already explained that.
- We're here - says Taf.
They stoped in front of a garden, 60 per 150 normeasures wide. Taf says "Follow me", and they entered the beautiful garden. He stoped and said "Ring the bell", and Eryck saw a bell hanged in a tree, from which a beautiful and harmonious sound came. Then, Taf says "Hold yourselves", and the reality in itself started to become wider, as everything was enlarging, until they see the normal garden hides a huge construction. Eryck's a skeighta, so the ground moving was the easiest part of it. The distortion was the difficult one. So, a large construction with letters saying "Tavern" appeared, and the garden was really much greater now, with symbols on every tree, and an aspect somewhat dreamy on every corner, bank or even the ground in itself.
Everything shows magic sensations coming from it.
At this point, you probably know a person who's seen something for the very first time sees everything at the same time, and so Eryck saw the only person different in there. She was looking at him. It's an ikka woman, or girl, he can't say because they're pretty alike, and the same size an ejik eleven, but he's sure she's looking at him. They entered the tavern, called Heugulyast, a word that doesn't ring a bell to Eryck. A beautiful attendant, dreassed in old mythic clothes, with a cord as a neckline, came. She says "Good night, Doctor. Have a table, please", and Taf guided the invitees to a table near the kitchen. There are three lines os tables, each side, east and west, and a stage where there should the last north and east table be, by the restrooms.
All painted red, white and silver, small brick walls separe tables.
- Beer - said Byenc to the attendant girl.
- Hmm,... Ice Whisky - says Eryck.
- Honey, please - says Taf - and we pay kotollon.
- What? - asked Eryck.
- It means "credit" in Trade - explained the white girl, sametone, seen Eryck's confusion.
- That's good! I'm gonna need this word, for sure.
The attendant girl frowned, but was gone to take the drinks soon.
(End of Part One, #01-2a)
Some considerations necessary
How Eryck will deal with real magic into a wizarding tavern?
I hope you're enjoying your reading at the Blog, and,...
